In 2015, the works of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson continued to be recognised by the Cult TV Awards, with Steve Zodiac from Fireball XL5 added to the Hall of Fame for 'Animated Character', actress Wanda Ventham, one of the female leads in UFO, added to the Actress Hall of Fame, and the documentary "Filmed in Supermarionation" was hailed as the 'Blu-ray/DVD Presentation of the Year'. David Graham was later interviewed and also talked about the story about the Pub and waiter who helped him invent the voice for Parker. Filmed in Supermarionation is a 2014 documentary film about Gerry Anderson, Sylvia Anderson and the struggling group of filmmakers who found success producing space-age puppet television series such as Supercar, Joe 90, Fireball XL5, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and Thunderbirds.

This allowed for the image to be manipulated in post production to better match the unique qualities of 1960s film photography. Filmed in Supermarionation is notable for the filmmakers' efforts to create new puppet and special effects sequences that match the look and feel of the programmes produced by AP films during the 1960s. Martin Townsend, in his New Year's editorial for The Sunday Express, enthused, "The likes of Apple and Microsoft may be very impressive companies, but if I wanted to inspire children to be creative entrepreneurs I'd show them the Supermarionation film. This full-color art book is packed with hundreds of never-before-seen production photos, artwork, and illustrations making this the definitive book on the subject. The book also covers the Anderson's efforts from the beginning including Torchy and Four Feather Falls.

Read all The definitive documentary about the iconic puppetry technique developed by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, Supermarionation was used in all their programmes throughout the 1960s including Stingray, Captain Scarlet and Thunderbirds. Filmed in Supermarionation is a documentary about the many series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. Thunderbirds', 'Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons', 'Supercar', 'Stingray', 'Fireball XL-5' and more, has been revised and expanded in paperback form. Directed by Stephen La Rivière, and based on his book of the same name, the film was favorably received by critics. Film historian Steven La Rivière, whose documentary about Supercar was the final word on the series, takes you behind-the-scenes and covers every aspect of the creation and production of such television shows as Supercar, Fireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Secret Service, and Joe 90.

In addition to attempting to recreate 1960s film-making techniques, 21st century methods were also employed in the interest of matching the original productions. Scott Tracy is modelled after Sean Connery, who was James Bond in the years Thunderbirds was in production and originally on air. Rich Trenholm of CNET was similarly positive in stating, "the documentary's vibrant storytelling captures the vitality, innocence and sense of joy of the series themselves".The documentary features specially filmed footage of the puppets themselves, behind the scenes footage, rare archive footage, recreations of the Special Effects techniques used in Thunderbirds and other Gerry Anderson shows and "brand new" high-definition restorations of the original shows. It perhaps would have been interesting to hear more about their legacy, films like Team America: World Police were clearly very inspired by Thunderbirds in particular.

The documentary is hosted by Lady Penelope and Parker, the puppet stars of Thunderbirds, who seek to uncover the story behind their creation. To promote the documentary to the masses, a special edition of BBC1's The One Show was aired on 10th October 2014, which involved show presenter Chris Evans dressing up in a shiny blue International Rescue outfit, and guest appearances from Parker and Brains. For the first time, a complete history of the Gerry and Sylvia Anderson television productions which pioneered science-fiction special effects.Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian gave the film four stars, writing that, "There is something very romantic about this success story of British entrepreneurial creativity. Dialogue was recorded with members of the original Thunderbirds voice cast and puppets and sets were recreated to as close to the specification of the original Supermarionation series as possible.
