About this deal

The game Is simple, a card is read and you have to guess on the board what colour you think it is, the closer to the correct answer the more points you get, the catch is the person who is reading the card comes up with the description of the colour. So for me, when a parameter was put in place that a color and number may not be in a consistent relationship such as found in the color-by-number activities, and the ability to creatively express oneself through coloring isn’t present, then something has to give. The game is fun and easy to play, however some colours look different on the board than they do on the card due to the rooms lighting. If only two players are playing I would much prefer one of the two colors to be blue or yellow rather than the two being red and green. The possibility to open discussions among your friends to tell them how crazy they are for thinking that the color of dawn is purple or pink or yellow or any color they want for example, is something that makes the game enjoyable.

If more than one person has the same most preferred color then obviosly only one person gets this color (randomized among the people with the same preferred color). Allowing for up to ten to play makes this a good choice for large groups, especially those with a large variety in ages amongst players.Aside from color-by-number activities that all of us are familiar with, most coloring is up to the child’s discretion.

But when I found it on the board and saw the huge variety of hues around it, my mind started scrambling for how my cue would be interpreted. For example, the active player might receive a card showing a light pink colour and a pastel blue colour, and decides to use the phrase ‘cotton candy’ to describe it to the rest of the group. Dicebreaker is owned by Gamer Network Limited, a ReedPop company and subsidiary of Reed Exhibitions Limited. After this second pass, the cue-giver places the scoring frame on the board so that the target color is in the center of the scoring frame and players score points.

For one thing, it definitely can be very confusing going from one game to another, and that is especially true for turn-based when you can be playing them at the same time. After all, that’s why we do these reviews — to give you a feel for a game and help you decide if it’s right for your group. Almost all of the reviews on Board Game Quest are from review copies of a game provided by the publisher.

Some rounds we’ve all hit really close to the chosen color and other times we’ve been super spread out all over the board. It absolutely is possible for each player to pick whatever color they want and only see that from your own point of view, i. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Here you’ll find all our top game recommendations so you and your family can play only the best games together!
