Thank you for always listening to me, even when I feel like the world is crashing down and I have nothing left.

Expressing gratitude for listening is more likely to happen when actual words have been exchanged, but this does not apply to all forms of word exchange.I know I don’t always make sense and I sometimes get out of my mind, but you are one of the few people who knows all of that about me and still love me. it explores some relevant topics for adults, such as saving family relationships, forging career paths, navigating friendships, and overcoming past trauma.

Nuanced characters, exquisite banter, fantastic support cast, secondary plot lines and backstories that I actually give a damn about, and the presence of so many favourite tropes utilised to perfection, Thank You for Listening is easily among the top-tier of my romance reading experiences of the past few years. Thank you for being there to listen to me when I needed to talk about my frustrations and doubts about everything. There are times when you feel alone or feel down; when all that is needed is a listening ear from someone who cares.Although I was tempted to read it on my kindle, as I do with many ARCs, I opted to listen to her narrate her own story on audiobook. And while I absolutely love that as a conclusion, I don’t love how it was presented as this massive revelation that no person who loves the romance genre has truly understood?

Thank You For Listening is a fascinating behind-the-scenes peek at the voice actors who bring love stories to life for the rest of us.Also, just the fact that you are there and interested in whatever it is I am doing or saying makes me feel like I matter, and that is appreciated. Women’s fiction is just … fiction about real human things universal to everyone, and some of those things are going to be romantic (and hopefully a bit on-page smutty from time to time 😄😈). The entire storyline involving Sewanee and her father disagreeing over how to best care for her grandmother as she fights her losing battle with dementia. The way the heroine is dealing with her grandmother memory loss (parkinson or just old age, I admit I'm uneducated on the topic) was heartbreaking at times.
