Baranski and Cowles first met in the early 80s on the set of a play, and Baranski has previously confessed that she was immediately attracted to the long-haired ‘black sheep’ Cowles. Principal photography primarily took place on the island of Skopelos, Greece from August to September 2007. Is this the movie attempting, in its simperingly inclusive way, to acknowledge the band's gay fanbase? It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the musical numbers and production values but criticized the casting of inexperienced singers and campy tone.

There's also a brief, nonsexual glimpse of a man's bare butt and a fair amount of drinking, but it's mostly in the context of everyone having fun on a Greek island, and it's all pretty social in nature. To continue this franchise properly, we're obviously going to need a reprise of 'Mamma Mia', what with it being in the title and all. The original Estonian cast included Birgit Sarrap as Sophie, Ele Millistfer and Merle Jalakas as Donna, Kaire Vilgats as Rosie and Kaarel Targo as Sky among others. The show was originally set to stay only for a week but with the positive response, the organisers decided that it would play until 19 February 2012.
