I was at Debenhams with my friends and as we strolled around we just stood for a moment for a bit of a chat and before we moved on I looked over to one of the bottom shelves and I spotted a few bronze and silver perfume set boxes and one stuck between them. it has a refined,polite,simple but also classy,modest but also smart,serious but also kind personality and I agree that it's sort of motherly. If you find this fragrance in spray form too powerful or the top notes too aggressive like I do, then I recommend getting this in rollerball form. There is something in this that smells like my local bowling alley, either the type of wood that is used to make the lanes or the sealant or wax that is used on the lanes. Interestingly I immediately thought of the Helena Rubinstein Heaven Scent I wore when I was in middle school that I loved so much.

The sweetness of the citrus eventually fades and the greenish-white lily of the valley blooms and becomes quite noticeable. This is the polar opposite of Black Cashmere: it's light, kinda creamy, airy, and not as heavy or intense as its dark sister (and decidedly feminine; no unisex here). I really love the first part of this, I smelled Jasmine and Orange blossom and wood scent, I am less wild about musk and powder after, but still like it alright. Then after just a few minutes, it seems to disappear completely leaving nothing but the faintest warm skin scent behind.This smells like warm cashmere wood with faint suede in the background, some vanilla, amber, and a touch of white flower, which is jasmine. I still have three quarters of that original bottle of DK Cashmere, and have since been through 3 x 100ml bottle of Artemsia plus a tin of matching talc for each one. Although, I will admit that what I smell in the bottle smells absolutely nothing like how it does when it's on me.

I absolutely intend to use the dupe more and sparingly layer the authentic one so I don't finish it so quickly. The only perfume that gave me a nostalgic feel to my senses and wanted me to cry was Narciso Rodriguez, Narciso. If I do the olfactory equivalent of blurring my vision and just get a glancing waft it's kind of nice, but after wearing it for awhile honestly there's a note in there that doesn't sit right with or on me.I'm not at all saying this is not a more mature scent because my cousin of the same age said it smelled like old ladies to her. I seems like a bit of a unicorn amongst 90’s fragrances, not an oriental silliage bomb or citrusy fresh.

Oddly, the attractive thing about Cashmere Mist is that CM smells like a just worn sweater which has the remains of another of one's perfume on it. if you don't want to smell like a mom who got pooped all over by here new born baby and already happened to have a cheap toilet vanilla perfume sprayed on her sweaty top (this scent is a horrific combination of both synthetic sweet and sour poopy) then escape while you still can! Apologies to all of you who love this but I get hairspray and scented sanitary towels I had when I was fourteen. So I can see the scent of luxury they were trying to go for here with the cashmere, musk, and suede, but this fragrance fails miserably with my body chemistry.I quess it is all for people with minimalistic style, who doesn’t demand any attention but rather radiate quiet but persistent presence. As such it's refreshing and cozy, soothing, and rather like a luxurious soap that one lathers during a bath. It's rare to see cashmere and suede at the top of the dominant notes, and this is definitely a nice way to appreciate them.
