When we (my siblings and I) learned to read, when we were supposed to be napping, I would read from this book. I deliberately started this on a non leap year in some mad delusion that they wouldn't have included February 29. At any rate, my 16-year-old daughter remembers these tales so fondly she has requested that I re-read them to the kids still at home this upcoming year.

Front cover shows older woman in blue dress, black-haired girl in red and white checked dress hugging her as she tells a story, two boys and a girl, along with a gray cat at her feet.I remember looking forward to the story each night and then a few years later reading them to my younger brother. The stories themselves are mostly boring Dick-and-Jane type stuff but I was fascinated by the continuity of 365 different stories that all take place in the same universe. My 13 year old gets to practice reading to an audience and she secretly loves pretending she is a teacher.

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) (commonly referred to as Disney) is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. So instead I decided to read it as it was intended (plus it's kinda nice to feel like I am reading myself a bedtime story).
