A lot of work has gone into optimising the upgraded Liberty Neo's, and it shows. The ergonomic fit is a result of extensive testing on multiple users. And, the balanced, clear sound is a product of the finely tuned graphene drivers. Buds themselves can hold up to 3.5 hours of battery life, with the charging case adding an extra 19 hours (24 in total). In our test, we got around 5 hours out of them. This is a better battery life than expected but still somewhat average compared to the competition. Thankfully the case isn’t too big: you can easily take it with you. Charger failure. Same as above, try different charger, one known to work, with a cable known to work. Ports may get clogged so be sure what is plugging into the Neo case is verified to be charging fast something else (e.g. phone). In terms of pairing, these earbuds excel. Pop them out of their case, and they’ll automatically connect to the last paired device. Setting things up is equally as easy. With Bluetooth 5.0 and a custom antenna, the set offers some of the best connectivity around for similarly-priced earbuds. The custom Graphene drivers offer decent enough tonal balance. Listening to orchestral arrangements the highs, mids and lows are suitably separated and offer enough detail for casual listening. Stereo image is non-existent, but what do you expect at this price? Comfort-wise, the Anker Soundcore Liberty Neo are great. They are very light, weighing only 5.5 grams per earbud. In the box, you get 2 sizes of ear fins and one silicon cover with no fin. This prevents the hard plastic from touching the skin. They don’t irritate your ears even after a few hours of listening.Though not as good as some premium earbuds, it's still quite a spectacular set for this price. The boosted bass and clarity it offers are all that a casual music listener really needs. At 3.5 hours per charge, these are not the longest-lasting out there, but this should be enough for a decent walk, workout session, or a few episodes on Netflix. While we had no issues with connection or pairing the earbuds to a device during our testing, some users have experienced connection issues. This often seemed to boil down to the type of device paired or software issues. A few annoying aspects of this set are the volume control and single-use options. If you want to adjust the volume, you have to do so via your paired device, not the earbuds. Additionally, you can only use the right earbud by itself. When talking about battery life/playtime, average playtime of up to 8 – 9 hours on a single charge. Total playtime with charging case lasts up to almost 35 hours, that great for a long flight. But it is good enough and is better than other cheap wireless earbuds.

They are slightly bassy, but not as strong as best bass earbuds. The low end has a good punch, but it isn’t very fast or detailed. The latter is showing mostly in progressive music or metal, but it works just fine with EDM and other popular genres.

Outdoor runners will be pleased to hear the Liberty Neo generally offer a wonderfully stable connection. The only time I suffered regular dropouts was when moving through busy signal areas – train and underground stations, for example. Audio quality is more than good enough for gym use – but, if you spend moderately more, you can get better audio quality from competing sets such as the TicPods Free and Amps Air 2.0. Being IPX7-graded, it is also perfect for sports, exercise, and outdoor activities. You can safely wear them in averagely damp, sweaty, rainy, misty, or otherwise wet conditions. However, being unable to adjust the volume directly on the earbuds might bug you during these activities.Their sound quality will make everyone but the most demanding audiophile happy. It’s punchy and enjoyable to listen to, regardless of its flaws. If we talk about the case, it comes with fast charging feature. In addition, it allows you to recharge the charging case in two ways. The main way is to recharge with the standard method via a USB cable. Apart from that, the charging case also supports wireless charging.
