About this deal

The TPA3255 specifies a mere 0.006% total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) at 1W into a 4Ω load, rising to just 0.1% at the onset of clipping. Power supply ripple rejection is >65dB at 1kHz in BTL mode, so the chip isn’t especially sensitive to a quality power supply. The chip is 90% efficient at 4Ω If you only listen to music casually, you probably don't need to worry much about the lifespan of the components. However, if you are constantly blasting your ears with loud music, don't expect the components to last for a long time.

c. Being highly immersive - that is, the last veils (regardless of how slight they may be) have been removed between the listener and the music. With the Tone controls enabled it was able to get a nice sound in my listening space without EQ - I typically just need to lower the treble a little for my own tastes. I can capture some comparisons if people are interested of the max / min of both the bass and treble dials.Operating the Fosi Audio TB10D is a breeze, thanks to its intuitive control layout. The front panel features a power switch, volume knob, and input selection buttons, providing straightforward access to the amplifier's essential functions. The inclusion of LED indicators for power status and input selection adds to the user-friendly nature of the device.

The high-efficient 2.0CH 300Wx2 desktop power amplifier can drive almost home large passive bookshelf speakers ensuring top-notch sound quality and is compatible with most sound equipment such as computers, DVDs, CD players, PC, laptops, TV, etc. They’re certainly well-made for car stereos. But having run the TB10D through a couple of sets of different speakers, including the Q Acoustic 3010 and an Energy Tower set, this thing has enough power to make most speakers sound pretty good. The treble can also be increased with the treble potentiometer, and it can go from a neutral, smooth, lean and pleasing treble, to either super rolled off and absent, and also to bright, sparkly, but metallic and shrill treble. The apparent detail increases if pushing the treble wheel to the pedal, but this also increases the distortion, and this results in an audible distortion coming from the Fosi Audio TB10D, in the highs and the upper midrange. While I’ve used it with high-quality newly released speakers, I see TB10D as more of a stereo Hifi Amplifier designed to bring new life into old speakers, vintage speakers, or to pair with entry-level speakers. If you are looking for a small speaker amp to power a desktop setup, or secondary system, you cannot go wrong with the Fosi Audio TB10D. It outputs a lot of power for its price and size, but doesn’t forget about sounding good whilst doing so. It has a very clean and clear sound that can be tailored slightly with the tone controls on the front. Inside is a class D amplifier based around the TPA3255 chipset from Texas Instruments, data sheet Here for anyone interested. The TPA3255 is a high-power, 4-channel amplifier that can be run in a stereo BTL mode as it is here for higher current delivery and power output.

After some testing, I decided to switch to my Elac B6 Debut speakers, and once again, the TB10D amplifier delivered ample power with ease. Despite its budget-friendly price tag, this amplifier doesn’t skimp on performance, and it’s clear that it can hold its own against more expensive models.

Its a much smaller box than the A07 Pro - so heat might be a problem if played loud for a long time - I imagine if op-amps are swap maybe some extra vents would be drilled into caseClear midrange, somewhat energetic highs out of the box, good punchy, tight, mabye a little dry, not super deep bass, wider soundstage, depth than my bt20a, good dynamics, punch in the lows playing the spirit of dun dun by steve smith, nothing like a big amp and thigh sounding speakers with 12" pa subs, bass (could be big jbl tower speakers) but stil good, musical

Fosi Audio TB10D vs Arylic A50+ (79 USD vs 200 USD) – The shape and size is larger for TB10D and it uses normal speaker power plugs, which I like much more than the solution Arylic uses, and the maximum driving power is much higher on the Fosi TB10D. The maximum loudness is actually similar, because above a certain loudness, TB10D and its high THD will become audible, but at low volumes, it can be more controlled, have better impact and more bass, especially if you engage the EQ wheels. With the EQ Wheels not engaged, or in dead zero position, both A50+ and TB10D sound similar in tuning, with TB10D having a bit more impact and dynamics. A50+ has a much better streaming ability, and it is a more complex device that can do so much more, all while occupying less space on your desk, but if all you need is a good quality stereo hifi amp, TB10D is a good option you’ll most likely enjoy. To put the Fosi Audio TB10D to the test, I paired it with my trusty NHT C3 Carbon speakers and the Topping E70 DAC. The combination was a match made in audio heaven, with the TB10D delivering robust power that left me thoroughly impressed. Even with the volume cranked up, the sound remained clear and near distortion-free. The Fosi TB10D is a standard Class-D 2ch stereo amplifier, it has a single pair of RCA inputs and R/L speaker outputs, on the front there is a volume control and the on/off switch. There are also Bass and Treble tone controls on the front of the amp, there is no remote control with the TB10D, the volume has to be manually changed. I also think you Kenwood is probably on its way out :(. If you are experiencing enough frequency drop off you need to EQ it something internally is certainly dying and most likely has other issues going on that make a pretty bad reference point to compare other amps. ReplySound-staging is wider than some amplifiers, but not in the best category. But given its price-point the sound-staging does not disappoint, considering it's low price. When idling there is a very faint hiss from the speakers, but it’s nothing of concern. Commercial amps at more than 10 times the price produce produce more noise than this. The tone controls have a wide range of adjustment and the volume control is a logarithmic type that requires very little adjustment to make a lot of noise. I also wouldn’t want to push the amp to deliver its maximum power (at the onset of clipping) for a long time. In most domestic settings though, where an amp like this is likely to be used, you won’t need anywhere near that amount of power unless your speakers are unusually inefficient. It’s safe to assume that this amp will produce more than enough output for its intended use, and I certainly found this to be the case. I ran the amp with a pair of Tannoy precision 6.2 floorstanding loudspeakers. They are 89dB efficient (measured at the industry standard 1W / 1M) and are a relatively easy load, though do benefit from plenty of current to really get them going. It’s not the widest, or most airy amp I’ve heard, however using it for a second system, or to driver some smaller speakers in a desktop situation this is actually a very impressive amp. The tone controls work very well, you can finely tune the sound and add a little more body or take away a little treble if needs be for your own personal tastes. One of the highlights of the Fosi Audio Power Amplifier is its solid construction. The build quality is impressive, and it feels sturdy and durable. Additionally, its compact size makes it easy to fit into various setups without taking up too much space.
