Is it ground breaking? No. But it still is very playful and delicious. I know this got alot of hype for being a sexy fragrance, but in my opinion this is more girly/flirty and just overall a fun and easy fragrance to wear. Longevity was improved with the Viva La Juicy Gold Coutureas it lasts around 5+ hours with good sillage and projection. I still like this flanker better than the original, it's not as sharp and floral, it's more vanillic and soft, and more rounded. I think they are in the same family, but absolutely not twins.

Let's be honest, we're all here because Jeremy Fragrance told us it was the best fragrance for women. It was a subjective statement, so don't be mad if it's not for you. I tried a sample and at first was off-put by the opening that smelled akin to plastic. However, it didn't take long for the notes to start making sense. In my mind, if I could picture "her" wearing this as a signature scent, she would be a young, adorable carefree girl woman (with generous gift givers in her life), a sweet personality & everyone enjoys spending time w/ her- in part, because she smells soft, sunny & fruity for approximately ten minutes every time you hang out with her. Viva La Juicy’s longevity and sillage are moderate as this perfume lasts 4 to 5 hours close to your body. This fragrance opens with sweet pear, zesty mandarin orange, and fragrant jasmine. The soft rose doesn’t come in until the middle, along with peony and jasmine sambac. Upon dry-down, warm, musky/resin scents like ambroxan, benzoin, and orris come through.

I guess when a bottle of perfume isn't fresh, it's the dominant base note that remains and smells totally linear for the tester. You lose the integrity of the perfume, lose those beautiful layers and immediately get the dry down sugary sweet caramel which is the strongest note here (no warm toasty amber, vanilla or sandalwood). The dry down is extremely nice and just makes me want to constantly smell myself. However, it doesn't last long on my skin. It usually lasts for about 2 hours before it turns into skin scent. After 4-5 hours, it completely disappears on my skin. I don't overspray (just three sprays max for this perfume), so I have no idea it'll have the same result had I sprayed more.

The bottle lives up to its name as it is a stunning frosted pink glass bottle with the iconic Juicy Couture logo in gold. To tie everything together is a beautiful fuchsia ribbon.

I can't detect a pear note-on my skin the fruit note I can smell leans towards a golden delicious apple. Juicy Couturehas excellent longevity of 6+ hours with strong sillage that will leave you smelling sweet throughout the day.
