Aberlour Bottler Distillery Bottling Bottling serie Double Sherry Cask Finish Stated Age 18 years old Casktype Am. & Eur. Oak + 1st-Fill PX & Oloroso Finish Strength 43.0 % Vol. Size 700 ml Barcode 5000299632765 Added on 21 aug 2023 8:40 am by danilo Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 20th Anniversary Edition Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 2019 Bitter-Sweet, Fruity and slightly Thin. A few Sour elements as well. Perhaps a tad of Sulphur but nothing serious. The Alcohol remains noticeable. The Sherry cask influence is more clear now. This is a rich and refined dram, with a palette that brings together the dryness and spice of a good Sherry with the sweetness and warmth of Bourbon. Aberlour 14 yo 1993/2008 'Flying Short Bread' (59.4%, Juuls, Flying #7, cask #7367, 232 bottles) - 130411

The palette introduces some more orchard fruits, with pears and peaches coming out. These are ripe and bursting with flavour.Aberlour 12 yo 1987/2000 (62.4%, Cadenhead Authentic Collection, bourbon barrel, 222 bottles) - by Angus - 011218

Look at it now; well over a ton AND only 50cl! I can only imagine a previously very good whisky has become an astronomically good one.

Aberlour 7 yo (54.0%, Dram Mor, cask #800914, Portuguese red wine finish, 328 bottles) - by Angus - 011022 We may sell, license, transfer, assign or in any other way dispose of the Service (including Members) to any third party without any notification to you, e.g. (but without limitation) in connection with any reorganization, restructuring, merger or sale, or other transfer of assets. A very nice whisky at a reasonable price for its age. Other retailers are more pricey, so THANK you, House of Malt!Finish: Simultaneous feeling of meaty orange and toffee cereal with cream. Medium length and never getting too bitter. Aberlour-Glenlivet 23 yo 1989/2013 (54.9%, Cadenhead, small batch, bourbon hogshead, 522 bottles) - 271213 It ends up medium to long. Hardly anything new. Slightly dry finish with again good spicy oak notes. 80% dark chocolate. Just my impression: "He has too few% te". I returned a bad bottle of Highland Park today and bought the Aberlour 18 with my store credit, along with a cigar. I felt a longing to buy another bottle of the HP18, but I was gun shy due to the bad experience. I just love HP 18, but it was at the same store where I ended up with a bottle that allegedly had cork rot.
