About this deal

Although these foundations are relatively cheap (in comparison to other brands) I didn’t want to buy more than one. I was determined that the perfect match for me would exist. Swatches: The Ordinary Coverage Foundation 2.0 YG // Clinique Even Better Foundation in #25 Buff // MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC25 I went along to the Shoreditch flagship store and I was surprised at how relaxed the place was. There weren’t any ‘makeup artists’ on hand to help you colour match and the sales assistants pretty much left you to it. I for one love this experience. The lady behind the counter was actually really helpful in letting us take a mirror outside whilst I was walking around deciding on a colour. With yellow undertones and gold highlights get ready to give your look a glow with this foundation. This Ordinary Serum Foundation offers a natural medium-coverage with a very lightweight serum feel. It is very low in viscosity and dispensed with the supplied pump. Directions:

Proprietary spreadability system: a unique suspension system that allows pigments to look natural on the skin while keeping them from fading, caking, or collecting in fine lines Build your own palette, create a color combination, or discover look ideas to try. Create a Color Story

YG is light with yellow undertones and a golden luminous sheen. Ultra-fine metallic pigments add a subtle highlight. What It Is As with most liquid forms of foundation, it's ideal to shake the container lightly before use. Shade: The coverage foundation by The Ordinary has had a lot of hype around it. Full coverage for half of the price? How dare they?? Could it be as good as other high end brands? Time for me to find out! Anytime I hear whispers of a new foundation, I’m like a kid in a candy store. I just want to try new formula’s and it’s almost irrelevant how much it would cost. When I heard that my favourite skincare brand is releasing a foundation range (with two different finishes!) I needed to get my hands on it. The Ordinary Serum Foundations sold in the European Union offer an SPF 15 claim. This protection is achieved without the use of chemical sunscreens and only through physical protection from Titanium Dioxide. Additionally, no nano-particles are used to achieve this sun protection. These attributes are unique in foundations because it is exceptionally difficult to create a natural, lightweight look and consistent shades when using only non-nano forms of Titanium Dioxide for sun protection without any chemical sunscreen agents.

The Colours come in two formulas: Lightweight Serum Foundation and High Coverage Foundation, both of which offer 21 shades ranging from pale to deep. In the end I bought 2.0 YG. I’m not sure why I chose this shade tbh because I wouldn’t necessarily count myself as yellow or golden. When I got home I realised that the foundation is actually a tiny bit too much on the yellow side for me.I could still make it work though so I continued to wear it. Will this shade suit me?Eye Makeup: Clarins 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palette in Smokey, L’Oreal Lash Paradise, Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eyeliner For me this foundation is a medium coverage at best. It could probably be worked up to full coverage with a few layers but ain’t nobody got time for that. Sephora— 20% off for Rouges w/code TIMETOSAVE (15% for VIBs / 10% off for Insiders starting 10/31), ends 11/06.

The foundations offer a satin finish and are compatible with most primers and are designed to work exceptionally well with the primers offering from The Ordinary.

The pigments used in this format are treated for a rich, highly-saturated effect. These pigments are suspended in our proprietary spreadability system that allows pigments to look natural on the skin, resist collecting within fine lines and stay on for longer. My best friend has a red undertone and has never been able to find a foundation that works for her until this came along so I was sold! This foundation offers buildable, natural-looking coverage with a semi-matte finish. Key Ingredients I have pretty dry and sensitive skin so most foundation just creases very easily. but this serum foundation is just perfect. It has a semi-matte finish which is the perfect kind. I do like the light weight consistency too but my skin wasn’t ready for a medium cover foundation just yet. Is it long lasting?

At the end of long days, (by the time I’m home from my 8 hour day and two hour commute) it’s still on but I could do with a serious touch up. If you’re someone who touches your face a lot this is not going to last on you.Notes: This formula contains a very high concentration of free acids. The Ordinary recommends use only if you are an experienced user of acid exfoliation and your skin is not sensitive. This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided directions. Measure around the slimmest part of your natural waistline - above your navel and below your ribcage.
