About this deal

Living in Glasgow, Scotland but born and raised near Milan, Italy, I got the passion for music listening as a legacy from my father and my grandfather. I’ve already gone over how the QCY T13 connects to your phone using Bluetooth 5.0 and the low-latency advantages it brings to the table. Another thing to note is that interruptions or stutters are almost none existent with the QCY T13. Midrange is slightly recessed, with a bit of an accent on the upper region, but it’s mostly balanced. This makes it quite enjoyable whatever genre you listen to. One thing I really appreciate about it is that it has great detail and speed: in Fleetwood Mac’s Second Hand News the drums are very vividly detailed and they have great speed and decay that make them sound believable. That’s really the best compliment I can pay to the T13, given how headphones multiple times the price fail to do this. Treble is very well made, with enough presence and detail to make it interesting without going beyond the threshold of fatigue. There are occasions in which that happens, though; as a practical example, Al Stweart’s Lord Grenville has some cymbals that can be a bit piercing. Overall, though, the T13 offer a treble section that achieves the right balance in terms of pure presence in the mix. It has decent extension, too. QCY T13 Comparisons I have maintained for a long time that cheap “true wireless” earphones are not there yet – they compromise too much on sound quality, among other things, to be a viable option. That is changing, though, and more and more entry-level TWS earphones are actually quite good for the price, to the point they are comparable to wired alternatives. The QCY T13 are among those who are making me change my mind, as they do a lot of things correctly.

You’re not going to notice any lag while streaming video on Youtube on Netflix with the QCY T13. It’s the same case for gaming; the QCY T13 is a decent gaming earbud, and because latency is so low, there’s practically no lag when you use this to speak to teammates. Battery life The QCY T13 can go five hours of active listening on a single charge As this earphone forwards both vocals and lower tones, there's less space left for the center mid-tones. Guitars and pianos aren't as natural or detailed as they can be on more audiophile (read: more expensive) earphones, and darker male vocals can be a bit recessed. Mids do sound a tad warmer than average - but it's a safe bet, as they are at least pleasant on the ears. Ever since the QCY HT01 sort of won my heart, I’ve been a huge fan of QCY earphones. They’re affordable, trendy, and like the HT01 showed perfect-sounding in-ear. The charging case can recharge the earphones fully three times before needing new power via USB-C itself. Or you can top-up the buds in the case for 10 minutes - it will immediately get you up to 2 hours of extra listening time. I am quite impressed by the battery life. I have been able to use the QCY T13 for about 8 hours straight, which is quite significant in general and even more so given the super-affordable price they are sold at. Interestingly, the earphones start complaining about low battery (with a repeated modulated tone) more than half an hour before they eventually give up. Sound & Specs

The T13 is not trying to catch any attention with its design. The best way I can describe it visually is to say it looks plain, and with budget TWS earbuds, plain is good. Unlike what you’d find on the Haylou W1, for instance, there’s no brand lettering.

The QCY T13 probably has the biggest soundstage you'll encounter on a pair of very cheap wireless earphones. QCY positions the T17 as the true successor to the wireless earbud that started it all for the brand: the QCY T1c . The sound is a step up with incredible clarity and balance for the price. My opinion, however, changed when I listened to some songs with the QCY T13. Sound-wise, this is a significant upgrade to the T11, and considering that both cost about the same price, I’ll say you’re getting a great deal if you bought the T13. It’s a nicer sounding QCY T11, and that for me is enough reason to go with this earbud Going up in the frequencies, the QCY T17 shows a dip in the lower mid-tones, meaning lower electronic tones don't play a prominent role. Darker male vocals move up to the center-mids. These center-mids enjoy a nice presence. Male and lower female vocals sound detailed, and acoustic guitars and piano play come across naturally. Naturally, I was super stoked to get my hands on one of their new releases – the QCY T13. This is a TWS earbud that looks a lot like the older QCY T11 and T11S. QCY is calling it an upgrade of the former two.

One other area where the T13 punches far above its weight in terms of sound quality is the level of surround sound it puts out. As was the case with instrumentals, the T13 manages to catch and play out all the subtle but ‘eargasmic’ surround detailing. Listening to hi-fi music on this earbud is nothing short of immersive and engaging.
