About this deal

also, are we just gonna ignore the fact that maggie basically forced her gay friend to marry her because she was “lonely” GIRL BYE😵‍💫🤣 Maggie Moves On was extremely entertaining with laugh out loud moments, but it was also full of emotion, heart and healing…plus a touch of adventure! Small town romance – some author’s just know how to do them right, with big hearts, great characters, and history. The man takes flirting to a whole new level. And he does it shirtless…sometimes in pants. He and his dog who has dropped out of school are impressively persistent. But she has no interest in putting down roots. Delightfully written and a warm listen with a good pace and a plot to keep you inspired. The characters are so warm and loveable that you just get drawn in from the start. Emma Wilder is a really good narrator and captures you from the start. The book cover just screams Read Me!

Romantic comedy Maggie Moves On brings fresh humour, adventure, and all the feels to a small-town when a house-flipping Youtube star falls for the local landscaper. Fans of Abby Jimenez, Christina Lauren and Talia Hibbert will love this. Be warned girls – he is your builder, his chat up lines were so unoriginal, he probably wolf whistles in his sleep and goes to bed dreaming about his body. If you want a man with a brain and a shred of intelligence – then move swiftly on!!! The Wild West is steeped in history, especially in Kinship, and the Campbell place has its share of secrets. Something Maggie should feel right at home with, since she has her own share of them. As the secrets slowly unfold and work on the house progresses, the Universe takes the opportunity to teach Maggie a few life lessons she never dreamed of, and may be slightly reluctant to learning. Maggie flips houses for her popular YouTube channel show. Silas is a miracle-working landscaper who digs the challenge of Maggie AND the Old Campbell Place. Fast-paced, fun, and full of Gilmore Girls-worthy banter! Silas is head over heels for Maggie out of the gate, and with his playful wooing that's equal parts sweet and sexy, readers won't be far behind. Maggie Moves On combines the signature charm of a small-town romance with blush-inducing starbursts of heatThat’s one of the reasons I have great faith in Lucy Score, she always gives me a good and uplifting story. I’ll come straight out and say this is for the fans of Nora Roberts, the ones who grew up reading her idyllic yet gripping stories that were so rich in community and work ethic and found a family like they are. in romance. Also meet secondary romances. I, I mean me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very romantic and sexier than my 90’s and 2000’s reads, but it’s firmly rooted in the book’s other themes; the home remodeling and landscaping and the town of Kinship which I fell head over heels in love with. Just when you’re thinking I’m running out of superlatives, I’ll jump right into talking about what’s probably my favorite part of the book, the last 25% or so. It was supposed to be 4-4.5 star book by then, but thanks to some alchemical magic that happened, everything worked out so well in the last act of the book that I couldn’t even dream of putting it under 5 evaluate. I love Silas' family dynamics. They really show the most beautiful way a blended family can work so well together. And Michael is hilarious. This is honestly the best part of this book and is what kept me reading through to the end.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for free. The review above is reflective of my honest opinions. Silas for his part falls for Maggie right away but convincing her to stay might be too hard to accomplish. Thankfully, he and his pitbull, Kevin are charming with a capital C. Lucy Score never ceases to amaze me with her literary talent. Maggie Moves On is another one of her books that simply MUST be made for TV viewing. Her characters are so relatable and charming. Even the super crabby ones like Wallace. You can’t help but fall in love with each one created for this book, including (maybe even especially) the dog “Kevin”. Wouldn’t have said no to a longer epilogue, or one or two chapters of them settling down, but loved to see it all come together. I’m here for more Lucy Score!!!! maybe I’m reaching, or maybe this is just another woman giving up her job, her life; to make a man happy.Maggie is a YouTuber who rehabs houses and sells them, then moves on to the next. It’s her job and she loves it. But now she’s in a town that is just begging her to stay in every way. And that biggest way is Silas, the hot landscaper. The secondary characters are as fantastic as Maggie and Silas. Silas has an amazing family, and the small-town feel of the community is lovely. I like that Maggie finds so many people in Kinship to connect with. From Silas’s sisters to an at-risk teen to the cranky old man with a connection to Maggie’s house, she finds so much more than a house renovation in Kinship, Ohio. And Silas’s moms are the best! They’re so smart and fun, and the way they and the rest of the family welcome all into their fold is fantastic. Something is missing. Lucy's books are usually long, but they never drag and they are always good and full of sparkly personality. I did not get any of that from this book. WTF happened? This is my least favorite Lucy Score title to date. This book is everything I dislike in this kind of a man ‘all ego and no brains’. An airhead without a shirt.🙄😉 but for entertainment value I have to give it to the author. Thanks to Forever (Grand Central Publishing), Lucy Score and NetGalley for the ARC. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review*

As their summer gets downright steamy, Silas manages to demolish the emotional walls she's spent years building, sending Maggie into a panic. He's the wrench in her carefully constructed plans. With the end of the project looming, she has a decision to make. But how can she stay when her entire career is built on moving on? The behind the scenes of a reno show and its production and a wonderfully competent and ambitious woman running her life, total win. Is it possible for this book to become a series? (*wink, wink* Forever Pub.). This is a world I want to live in forever. I want to move to Kinship and become a part of the fabric of daily life there. There are many grand parties to come at the Old Campbell Place and so many characters to get to know a lot more about. And I definitely need more of Kevin, the big butterball goof who flunked out of service dog training.Silas Wright is a native of Kinship and the owner of Bitterroot Landscapes. He’s got a pit bull named Kevin who he has conversations with and who apparently named himself. Silas has a big family with two Moms and two Dads. I so loved all of the Wright family. Silas pretty much falls for Maggie at first sight. A smitten hero is my catnip! Silas is calling Maggie his “future wife” in his head shortly after their first meeting and saying things like, “I’d hate for us to hit a deal-breaker this early in our relationship.” One of my favorite characters in the story is Kevin. Silas’s dog is the perfect addition to the story, and he’s so adorable, as is his hunky owner. Silas is funny and charming, and the way he almost instantly knows Maggie is the one for him is super romantic. I love that he wears his heart on his sleeve and isn’t afraid to show his feelings. Silas and Maggie’s banter is fantastic, and the way he teases and flirts with Maggie is relentless and endearing. And Silas and Maggie’s romance is fantastic!! I loved both characters and adored their love story. They have so much chemistry, and Silas’s overtures are super swoon-worthy. I'm a huge HGTV fan and Magnolia Network follower, and I just couldn't pass up a romance novel with a remodeling theme. Silas is a charmer and reading his and Maggie’s flirtatious banter is just plain FUN. As are the shenanigans Silas gets into with Kevin.

Fun filled, this one will capture your heart. I really loved Silas's character and the pooch Kevin was an added bonus! A competent, capable heroine; a smart, sexy, head-over-heels hero; good families; found families; family drama; a mystery; sexy times; and people figuring things out after life throws them for a loop. actually, this book is my worst nightmare. usually, i can handle bad books because they’re so bad, that they’re hilarious. this book on the other hand was bad because it was so damn boring. reading for more than 20 minutes at a time was as painful as walking over broken glass. My instinct was right and I fell in love with Maggie and Silas between open spaces, walls being brought down, and new beautiful landscaping. More than that, I fell in love with Silas' family, Kevin (the pitbull), and his cats, Dean, Deanna, Cody, and even grumpy Wallace.
