About this deal

The peanut flavour is perfectly savoury, similar to the White Chocolate Peanut bar, and provides a delightful contrast to the sweet strawberry layer. I’m impressed once again, but as I said, fudge brownie is a pretty standard flavour. It’s not my favourite of the bars so far, but it’s absolutely worth a try, if not only for a break from your average protein bar. Dark Chocolate Mint – 8/10

White Chocolate With Sweetener (32%) (Sweetener; Maltitol; Cocoa Butter, Whole Milk Powder, Emulsifier; Soy Lecithin; Natural Flavouring), Protein Blend (Calcium Caseinate (Milk), Whey Protein Isolate (Milk)), Humectant; Glycerol; Hydrolysed Beef Gelatine, Isomalto-oligosaccharide, Roasted Peanuts (7%), Water, Palm Fat, Peanut Paste (2,6%) (Peanut Kernels, Peanut Oil) , Flavouring, Salt, Sweetener; SucraloseAlthough strong, the banana flavour isn’t overwhelming and mixes well with the chocolate and the hint of salt from the caramel.

With an already excellent flavour, Grenade could almost have gotten away without the Oreo pieces, but they do lend a nice crunch (and additional ‘authenticity’) to tie this bar together. Store at a temperature range of 15°C. to 22°C, away from direct sunlight, extremes of heat change, odour & humidity. Grenade Protein Bars should be consumed as a part of a balanced diet. Product contains more than 10g/100g polyols: excessive consumption may cause laxative effect.Texture-wise, it’s pretty similar to the other Grenade bar flavours, except the creme offers a smoother, creamier, texture than Grenade’s usual caramel layer and the Oreo pieces are less crunchy than the crispies found on the likes of Caramel Chaos and Jaffa Quake. The milk chocolate coating is, as expected, silky and sweet, whilst the nougat-y base is dark and rich, adding that hint of saltiness so beloved of an Oreo biscuit. The orange flavour is just right with this one – it’s not artificial or bitter, and it doesn’t overpower the chocolate flavour. I would have liked something a little more different from the standard Carb Killa range than simply the addition of orange flavour – surely if you’re going to call something ‘Jaffa’ you need a jelly layer… What’s more, it manages to maintain Grenade’s usual, pretty solid macros – 21g protein, 20g carbs, 10g fat and just 1g of sugar, all for 233 kcal. Actual magic!

I will definitely be eating this on the regular, but it gets an 8.5 because in the end, it is just a chocolate crunch with orange flavouring… Birthday Cake 5/10 In many ways this bar is similar to the Caramel Chaos – Obviously, the chocolate coating and the texture are exactly alike, but the flavour is overall pretty similar too if I’m honest. I think I’d have to eat them one after the other to really distinguish between them. There’s the same nougat-y texture to the base as in the other bars. It’s smooth and chewy, with the crispies adding a satisfying crunch when you take a bite. Texture-wise this bar is a variation on Grenade’s newer formula. It’s soft and fluffy, with a nice crunch from the crispies. The bar has a soft, slightly chewy nougat centre (made with authentic Oreo cocoa), topped with a layer of vanilla creme (made with authentic Oreo vanilla), sprinkled with, you guessed it, authentic Oreo pieces and coated in a layer of milk chocolate. Grenade have definitely switched something up with their more recent flavours – the overall texture is softer and they’ve outgrown the crispies. This bar continues the theme and, in fact, might actually be the fudgiest bar yet. It’s actually squidgy! A protein barcan be a healthier alternative to chocolate bars, offering additional nutrition. When eaten in moderation, they can be a great addition to a healthy, balanced diet and can help you to achieve your fitness goals! When should I eat a protein bar?

This flavour is chocolate on chocolate on chocolate – a fudge-y centre topped with a gooey layer of chocolate, topped again with chocolate chips and then encased in Grenade’s signature milk chocolate (aka a chocolate-lover’s dream). Milk Protein (Calcium Caseinate, Milk Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Isolate), Milk Chocolate With (Sweetener; Maltitol, Cocoa Butter, Whole Milk Powder, Cocoa Mass, Emulsifier (Soy Lecithin), Flavours) 18.3% Gelatine Hydrolysate, Bulking Agent (Polydextrose), Humectant (Glycerol), Soy Crisps (Soy Protein, Tapioca Strarch, Salt) Soy Crisp (Soy Protein, Fat Reduced Cocoa, Tapioca Starch) Cocoa Butter, Soy Oil, Skimmed Milk Powder, Palm Fat, Sweeteners (Xylitol, Sucralose), Flavours, Fat Reduced Cocao, Salt, Emulsifier (Soy Lecithin) There was a time, a dark time, when I was a PB&J hater. Thankfully, I’ve since recognised the error of my ways and have become a COMMITTED lover (peanut butter first, strawberry jam ALWAYS). Like the White Chocolate Salted Peanut, this flavour contains slightly more calories than the earlier bars – 233 calories in this one – and they also contain slightly less protein – 20g compared to 22g in some of the others.

After some more ‘adventurous’ flavours, Grenade have reigned it in with this offering and returned to a chocolatey comfort zone. Dark chocolate mint is a classic flavour and hard to mess up. BUT as a previous mint chocolate #hater, I have to say I’m blown away by this bar. The mint flavour doesn’t remind me of toothpaste, mixing well with the dark chocolate and leaving you with a refreshing aftertaste. Milk Protein (Calcium Caseinate, Milk Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Isolate), Milk Chocolate (Sweetener Maltitol;, Cocoa Butter, Whole Milk Powder, Cocoa Mass, Emulsifier (Soy Lecithin), Flavours) 18.3%, Bulking Agent (Polydextrose), Gelatine Hydrolysate, Humectant (Glycerol), Soy Crisp (Soy Protein, Low Fat Cocoa, Tapioca Starch), Soy Crisps (Soy Protein, Tapioca Starch, Salt), Cocoa Butter, Soy Oil, Palm Fat, Xylitol, Skimmed Milk Powder, Low Fat Cocoa, Cream Powder (Contains Milk), Salt, Emulsifier (Soy Lecithin), Flavours (Contains Milk), Sweetener (Sucralose)
