First, a bit of a primer about Disneyland Paris. Located in Marne-la-Vallée, which is actually a suburb of Paris, Disneyland Paris is about 45 minutes from the city center by train–and significantly closer to Charles de Gaulle Airport. The entire resort consists of 7 official Disney-themed hotels, several partner hotels, the Disney Village entertainment and shopping district, and the two parks: Parc Disneyland and the Walt Disney Studios Park. You’re an adrenalin junkie and love amusement parks. Disneyland Paris is the biggest park (parks?) in Europe.

A dramatic refresh to the entire resort called “Project Sparkle” has been ongoing for over 3 years now, and has revitalized several popular attractions and entire lands. This is finished in the parks and is now continuing with the hotels.Add balloons to a large box, and let them float up with a sign announcing “Surprise! We’re going to Disneyland!”

If you can’t find something in the Park, try the shops at the Disney Village. The hotels have there own shops too, but the range is limited. Follow Route 66 to Disney Hotel Santa Fe! If your children love the world of Cars, they’ll feel right at home at this warm, colourful homage to Route 66, the American Southwest and Cars. Prepare your child (and yourself): watch the older Disney films, most recently. Aladdin, Cars, Nemo, Ratatouille and Toy Story (later you can add Frozen and the Avengers to the list).
