The 120Hz refresh rate is here though, which the display updates 120 times per second, so twice as fast as the 60Hz ‘standard’ of many other smartphones (including the Note 20). A higher refresh rate makes motion look smoother, whether you’re playing games or swiping through menus, although depending on what you’re doing you won’t necessarily notice the difference. It’s worth pointing out that 120Hz is the maximum setting, and you can drop down to 60Hz in the settings if you want to save on battery life. After unplugging at 7 a.m. and using the Galaxy S20 FE regularly for several hours, it still had 55% juice left at 4:16 p.m, which is pretty good. Samsung responds to customer wishes with the Fan Edition of the S20. The result is a cheaper but still generously equipped smartphone. The 6.5-inch Full-HD+ display offers high contrast. By comparison, the regular Galaxy S20 lasted a slightly longer 9:31 over T-Mobile's network, and the iPhone 11 endured for a whopping 11:16. The 32MP front camera is good for those selfies and it has some software skills to push out a bit and cram more faces in. Video is strong too, even if it doesn’t possess the 8K skills of the regular S20.
The selfie camera is different too, featuring a 32MP sensor (0.8 µm pixels) with 4-in-1 pixel binning. This cam appears to be the one we’ve seen in some A-series models. This pricing puts it directly in competition with the some of the best mid-range phones like the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8T, Moto Edge and LG Velvet.
