About this deal

Fury from the Deep is the completely missing sixth serial of the fifth season in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who, which originally aired in six weekly parts from 16 March to 20 April 1968. On certain DVD releases, fake documentaries focusing on the lives of the Doctor Who villain of that story in a real world environment were special features. A continuity regarding Fury from the Deep was established. In Oh Mummy!, whilst having a meeting with Philip Hinchcliffe, Sutekh accidentally destroys "something called Fury from the Deep", referencing its status as a missing story.

Although the title is frequently seen as an insult, it affords great freedom to those who bear it. A Thrallmaster can roam far and wide in search of fresh soul-matter, mastering the pelagic lore of the ocean’s currents. Many will tame vicious sea creatures like the Snapjaw Eel, and even tattoo themselves with tidal maps to prove their navigational skills.* We recently showed off the new Fury of the Deep boxed set, featuring new miniatures for the Idoneth Deepkin and the Fyreslayers. Not only does the box set contain 43 awesome miniatures for these factions but it also gives you all the tools to play out an epic narrative campaign that goes some way to explaining why two forces from the same Grand Alliance have found themselves in such a bitter conflict. Get ready to travel to the legendary magmahold, Ryftmar. However, the rulers that come with Fury of the Deep are not only shorter than the standard 12″ range rulers we’ve grown accustomed to, I’d also argue that they aren’t as durable. Sure, the regular plastic ones we’ve seen slotted in with many releases over the past few years will snap or break if bent too far, but the fact that they’re made of a single piece of plastic likely makes them more durable. The stalwart Fyreslayers are fighting for the fate of their ancestral home, as the conniving Idoneth Deepkin churn the Vitriol Sea, weakening the supports beneath Ryftmar and threatening the Fyreslayers with a soggy demise. Once there, the Doctor helps Victoria out of the dinghy onto the shingle beach. The Doctor says they must be in England — Jamie agrees, citing the weather as proof, and suspects that the TARDIS must be broken as it keeps returning them to Earth, and usually England. The Doctor sees something in the distance and starts to walk off. Something further along the beach has caught the Doctor's attention. Jamie and Victoria follow him. Jamie notices a preponderance of foam lying around on the beach. He points this out to the Doctor. The Doctor scoops up a handful of foam. Playfully he shoves the foam into his companion's face. Soon enough all three are engaged in a high speed battle with foam flying in all directions as they run up and down the sand. Catching sight of something ahead, Jamie stops and points down the beach. He thinks it is the source of the foam and decides to investigate. Shaking off the foam, the three travellers make their way along the shore. No matter which way you look at it, Fury of the Deep has one major trump card with which no naysayer can argue: it’s staggeringly good value. With both factions offering up an equitable amount of models to the retail price of the box, you’re basically getting one faction for free. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Fury of the Deep Review – Introduction Howe, David J.; Walker, Stephen James (1998). "The War Games: Things to watch out for...". Doctor Who: The Television Companion. London: BBC Worldwide. p.173. ISBN 0-563-40588-0 . Retrieved 21 October 2010. And in Warhammer Age of Sigmar, the Ossiarch Bonereapers get their turn in the Tome Celestial, reaping a tithe of new rules that expand on their unique Relentless Discipline ability.

A hindsight tinged by more recent 40K battlebox releases (which have trended towards including only models and a campaign book) makes Shadow and Pain look as if it were positively bursting at the seams with goodies. Fury of the Deep, however, makes it look positively underfed with its impressive offering of both miniatures and extra goodies to get people engaged with the game. Let’s take a closer look at everything in turn now. Literature Grimnir’s spirit burns on in the hearts (and ur-gold tattoos) of all Fyreslayers, where it is tended by the Auric Flamekeepers. These fiery funerary priests see to the last rites of Fyreslayer society, guiding fallen lodge members to the stone-sleep through ancient rites of cremation so they may return to do battle alongside Grimnir in Doomgron, the final battle.* The guard who refuses Maggie access is visible in an office next to the gate rather than just being heard over a speakerphone. Victor Pemberton based Oak and Quill on the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy, whom he had actually met in the past. (At the time of the story's production, Stan Laurel had died only three years earlier, in 1965.)Next up, we have a divider with the same artwork as is on the front of the box. Whilst these will always make great posters for a painting cave or wheresoever it is you perform your rites to the hobby gods, their primary purpose is to keep your plastic and your paper goods separate so one does not scratch the other. There’s a good chance yours may arrive with perforations or scratches, but if it does, it has fulfilled its purpose. Victoria mentions that the TARDIS always seems to land on Earth. ( TV: The Abominable Snowmen, The Ice Warriors, The Enemy of the World, The Web of Fear) Considering we saw an Idoneth Warband not too long ago, it was only a matter of time before they grabbed a new battletome as well. New Idoneth Akhelian Thrallmaster Miniature And, of course, the book also contains all the Warscrolls you’ll need for your miniatures. Warscroll Cards
