So, what’s the best way to store your potatoes to keep them fresh and delicious? Hold the sprouts For those that will go into soups, stews and mashed potatoes, thaw the frozen cuts in the fridge first, about 7 to 8 hours, before cooking. And since these taters have already been par-cooked, remember to add them only near the end of the cooking time so as not to overcook them.
