About this deal

A ground strike is when a player hits the sliotar on the ground. Are you allowed to throw the ball in hurling? A lot time people won't really pay too much attention if one eye isn't as good as the other eye because they feel the other eye is doing what it needs to and that's good enough. But it's not good enough when you're dealing with sport at inter-county level. It is hoped that the changes to the colour and the design of a more consistent and traceable sliotar will ensure that generations of players and supporters will continue to enjoy the fast, skilful and competitive game that they love. A hurling match is played between two teams with 15 players either side. A match is divided into two 35 minute halves. The objective of a hurling match is to move the sliotar up the field to score through an H-shaped goal post. There are two ways to score: in the net for 1 goal (worth 3 points) or through the upright posts for 1 point.

You'll be able to see a small white ball if your vision is good under good conditions, so against a blue sky.The first ever hurling game played in the Scottish Highlands was played at Easter 2012 between CLG Micheal Breathnach and Fir Uladh, an Ulster select of Gaeiligoiri, as part of the Iomain Cholmcille festival, na Breathnaich coming out victorious. While many manufacturers had to make alterations to the design of their sliotar to adhere to the new regulations, it clearly resulted in greater consistency. The GAA designed a "stamp of approval" (by Avril Kennan) which manufacturers printed on their sliotars to indicate adherence to the regulations. The idea was that players and coaches would be able to ensure they were buying and using approved sliotars. people at the 2009 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final between Kilkenny and Tipperary at Croke Park in Dublin Keenan, Robert Anthony; Riogh, Aisling Nic An; Fuentes, Adrian; Daly, Padraig; Cullen, Ivor M. The ball, known as a sliotar, has a cork centre and a leather cover; it is between 69 and 72mm (2.7 and 2.8in) in diameter, and weighs between 110 and 120g (3.9 and 4.2oz) Kennelly’s studies have proven that someone who is colour-blind is highly unlikely to make the grade as an inter-county footballer and hurler. Scoring is achieved by sending the sliotar between the opposition's goal posts. The posts, which are at each end of the field, are H posts as in rugby football but with a net under the crossbar as in football. The posts are 6.4 m apart and the crossbar is 2.44 m above the ground. For the same reasoncertain percentage of the male viewers watching a match can't identify the different jersies when they're up against each other. Ever since its prehistoric foundations, hurling has been played with two fundamental instruments; a hurl and a ball. The Sliotar's composition has included various components including wood, leather, rope, animal hair until the modern molded synthetic Cummins Sports version that will be used this week in the All-Ireland final. A good strike with a hurley/hurl can propel the ball over 150km/h (93mph) in speed and 110 metres (361ft) in distance.
