About this deal

Paper capsules do not interact with the machine in the same way as aluminum capsules. It takes slightly longer for the machine to pierce the paper capsule, and sometimes a very small amount of water may flow around the capsule and into the cup. A few water drops should not affect the taste or aroma of your coffee. What should I do if my appliance is not working? Tap water (normal household potable water) is perfectly OK as long as it is free of odors that might alter the taste of the beverage. Bottled water is also OK. Since the ’80s, Nespresso has remained a premium brand producing quality, accessible espresso in the capsule format. Nespresso’s dedication to quality and convenience offers customers some of the cheapest espresso machines on the market, and they’re easy to use. If you don’t have the space, budget, or learning time to invest in a full-blown espresso setup, a Nespresso machine could be a great option for serving espresso at home. What is Nespresso coffee?

To calculate the average price, we add up the cheapest daily prices of the last 90 days and divide by 90. As with most Nespresso machines, the Inissia produces espresso with a rich, full crema that hints at the taste awaiting you. You won’t be disappointed in that taste, either.

Along with the higher quality of materials, however, comes a higher price point as well. The Pixie is nearly twice as expensive as the Inissia, and while you’re getting a more durable machine that will last longer, you’ll be paying more for that quality. If you’re someone who wants a solid and hefty machine that boasts its quality and don’t mind paying more for it, the Pixie will suit you better. Because of the vast difference in the quality of materials, these machines are priced very differently, even though they make the same quality coffee. The first thing to know about the Essenza Mini is that Nespresso contracts with two different manufacturers to make it: Breville and De’Longhi. Both companies have a long history in the coffee business, and both versions of the Essenza Mini have internals built to the same specs. The casing is the main difference, with the Breville being more vertical and understated and the De’Longhi available in brighter colors with a more curved, mod look. Would you rather have an automatic latte machine? You may want to consider the Lattissima or the Creatista.

The Inissia produces long and short shots of espresso. Unlike Nespresso’s VertuoLine machines, this model isn’t designed to brew eight or 14-ounce cups of coffee. Want a more straightforward process? You may prefer the Evoluo or VertuoPlus, both of which are designed to brew up to 14 ounces. Besides ultra-convenient brewing, Nespresso offers a top-shelf consumer experience centered on sleek boutiques with one-on-one, hands-on service. Tassimo, Lavazza, and others have also developed capsule brewing systems for espresso, although parts and capsules are not compatible between systems. How does Nespresso work?

Krups Nespresso Inissia

Favre designed the system after examining large-scale professional espresso machines in restaurants and talking to the people who operated them. His system uses hermetically sealed aluminum capsules filled with precise doses of pre-ground coffee to create espresso with little need for input from the user. By doing so, you pre-heat your coffee cup and you rinse the extraction system for better coffee experience. If priming is not possible after these manipulations, take the appliance to an authorized service center. Compostable capsule: there is some water leaking into the cup at the beginning of coffee brewing. After preparing your coffee, wait a few moments to allow the capsule to cool and eject it (gently lift the lever) into the capsule bin.

The Inissia was originally Nespresso’s entry-level machine, presenting customers with a straightforward way to brew espresso. However, it was recently discontinued. While still widely available and covered by Nespresso’s one-year manufacturer’s warranty, the Inissia is gradually being replaced by the Essenza Mini. We’ll be reviewing the Essenza Mini on its own and comparing it to the Inissia later on in this article. Are you a coffee fanatic? If so, we bet you have heard of Nespresso. This coffee-dedicated company is popular in the UK and across the globe for providing the market with superior coffee machines, coffee capsules, and coffee pods for either home or business use. They specialise in creating high quality coffee perfect for almost any preferred coffee character and aroma.

More from Krups

If you live in an area where the water is very hard, you may wish to descale more often. Does the water tank need to be cleaned? The Inissia comes with a one-year warranty, which covers necessary repairs and replacement. Plus, Nespresso offers troubleshooting help for the lifetime of your machine. Register your model and you’ll receive perks like a starter set of coffee pods. Super-fast and easy to operate, once you’ve turned it on and topped up its easy-fill removable water tank, the Inissia takes only 30 seconds to heat up. Then all you need to do is drop your chosen capsule in the top, put your cup on the tray (high or low to fit your cup, mug or glass) and press one of the buttons on the top to choose your style of coffee. The automatic flow-stop function means you only get as much water as you ask for – a shot of espresso coffee or a longer lungo – without having to stand over it to turn it off. To ensure safety in operation, the Nespresso Inissia has an auto power-off feature that switches off the machine when not in use. The water tank capacity of the machine is 0.7 liters, which is ample for making a single cup of coffee.

Other important design features include a fast-heating boiler and automatic pressure release valve to ensure safety in the event of a clog. If irregular blinking, please verify that the machine is not in descaling mode (flashing fast and regular). Machine ON, try to exit descaling mode, by pressing both buttons for 3 seconds. The machine should stop blinking. Nespresso was born when Éric Favre developed a high-end capsule brewing system for Nestlé. Originally, they marketed the machines toward businesses such as hotels, but later expanded into the home consumer market. Nespresso continues to position itself as a luxury brand. When we tested this model, we were impressed with the flavors. The espresso was aromatic, complex, and well-rounded, with a nice layer of Nespresso’s distinctive crema on top. However, the Inissia isn’t designed to brew full cups of coffee, and Nespresso’s coffee capsules don’t seem to fit perfectly. Extra Features Take out and reposition the tank every 3 seconds. There should be air bubbles escaping from the tank valve.

It has a big brother known as the Essenza Plus, which features a larger water tank and more capacity for spent capsules. The Nespresso Inissia is a machine offered by De'Longhi which combines the low price with all the features guaranteed by the premium models. In just a few seconds, useful for inserting the capsule and for the water heating phase (25 seconds), you can in fact enjoy an excellent espresso or a high quality long coffee. The choice of drink is made using the buttons located on the front, clearly identifiable and responsive. Technical Features
