Retired Master Mariner and Humber Pilot, keen golfer, runner, squash player and cyclist in Grimsby and Cleethorpes. Ron sadly passed away peacefully on Friday 29th October from a short illness, he was 84 years. A funeral service will be held on Monday 22nd November 2021 at 2.15pm St Peter's Church, Cleethorpes followed by a short family service at Grimsby Crematorium. He played for Trinity while maintaining his career with a firm of electrical contractors. Now retired, Jeanes is heavily involved with his local union club Baildon. A: I do not think I would have been treated any better in the UK. All the medical decisions were made at the right time and they were all there to get the best outcome for their patients. They also kept my wife informed constantly of my condition which I know helped her tremendously. A: When I heard my name mentioned at the gate, I made myself known but was confused about why they wanted me. When my wife and I were then taken to a holding area and to the hospital, we were so confused as we thought I was tested negative. It was frightening when I learnt the truth. Peacefully on 2nd November 2021 whilst in the care of Rivaelin Care Home, Cleethorpes, John sadly passed away aged 91 years. Beloved husband to the late Joyce, loving father to Richard, Christopher and Penny, cherished grandfather, brother and good friend to many, John will be missed by all. A service to celebrate John's life will be held at St Peter's Church, Humberston on Tuesday 16th November 2021 at 2:30pm, followed by a private family committal at Grimsby Crematorium. Hesketh started his career at Wigan in 1962, playing alongside the likes of Billy Boston and Eric Ashton, before moving to Salford in 1967, with whom he remained until retiring in 1979. Hesketh worked his entire life as a salesman before retiring in 2006. He still lives in Lancashire and occasionally goes along to Salford to watch his former team in action. Lovingly known as 'Ron' Passed away after a bravely fought battle on 28th October 2021 at Scunthorpe General Hospital, aged 89 years. Loving wife to Jeff. Cherished mother to Ann and Leslie.
