About this deal

I have many issues with the book including: hating the characters, consent, her boobs, boring, pedophilia? (question mark bc it's weird), the cringe... agh so many things. the fact that the parts that we needed to read weren't there... this whole book centered on them getting married and we didn't even see the wedding? we didn't get to see anything in this book tbh. Well, I think I lost my interest in the book totally during those hot scenes because, honestly, I was waiting for a deeper love story. There is this love story of a little girl from the age of 7 to 22. She has never got over him. She has never stopped dreaming about him. Although she had a few boyfriends, Jason was her real and big love. And I think, that is why, I really expected the man to fall in love with her with some deep feelings not because of her boobs or ass, or whatever ... With all these hot scenes before realizing and confessing any feelings, the love story turned into a lust story for me. I would have been OK with those hot scenes, I would have been really happy even if only she had made it hard for him to earn. Well, it was just too easy... Now I'm laughing, but while reading it I was desperate. I didn't know what to do, I felt disgusted and a little scared that could happen to me. I believe Olive and Jason were doing everything right but having to read it was one of the worst things I've ever had to do. I can't be anything else than glad if you liked this story or if the things I said weren't a problem to you, but also I’d suggest you to read something more substantial and not always listen to the booktok or whatever it's called.

Olive Taylor has been in love with Jason Thorn, their neighbor and her brother's best friend, since the moment she laid eyes on his dimples. While that longstanding crush eventually ended in heartbreak shortly before he moved away, Olive knew Jason would always have a place in her heart. Oh, how stupidly in love with that boy I was. He was the first boy that made me blush, my first official crush. Sounds beautiful so far, right? That excitement that bubbles up inside you, those famous butterflies you feel for the very first time—he was the reason for them all. But, you only get to live in that fairytale world until they crush your hopes and dreams and then stomp on your heart for good measure. And boy did he crush my little heart into pieces. In the very first chapter, we get to see a six-year-old fall in love with her brother's best friend and even though in the following chapters we get to see a grown-up version of her, her six-year-old self still inhabits her body, the woman didn't change a bit, she's just more irritating because that kind of behaviour may be acceptable for a six-year-old but, not a grown-ass adult. But I will say, Jason confused me a ton in the middle of the book, mainly because when I was reading his POV it was just so confusing and I don’t know why? I mean usually when I read a character's POV I can at least tell they want to do this or that, but with him I dunno it kinda felt forced or like his feelings for Olive didn’t really develop throughout the story until the very end. Like I said, my feelings about Jason are a bit scrambled. But hey, Jason and Olive love each other, and that’s enough for me. You stole my little heart with just one dimple, you sneaky little thief. I never managed to fall out of love with you after thatBe part of our book reading community with BBS yearly & LRQ quarterly reading challenges, SRx1x3x3 monthly group reads & #ShhPolls. I loved Jason’s whole character in this book I am serious he is the wounded soul, to the Hollywood heart throb. To this incredible man who captures Olives heart. I just swooned, yeah I admit it. Jason has always seen himself as Olive's big brother and called her his "little one". He also repeatedly planted kisses on her forehead. It was interesting to see his perception of her change. Oh how hard he was trying to keep his paws off her. It was hot and delicious.

I loved how she was a romance writer; I loved how he was her brothers best friend. I loved how they meet again years later. I loved how they fell in love. I just well I loved this BOOK.a girl, olive taylor fell in love with her brother’s best friend, jason thorn. she loved him when she was 7… yeah. n e ways, fast forward like a bunch of years, she’s now 22 and he’s 26. he’s a hotshot movie star and she’s a newly famous author. he ends up being casted a role for her book adaptation thing balh blah. he gets into a bunch of scandals that lead to him having to marry someone. surprise surprise, who does he marry? yes, olive, his liTtlE oNe. they fall in love. the end. i cannot with her. she’s immature, annoying and just so damn love obsessive. it was gross and i kept getting second hand embarrassment from her actions Este libro y en especial el título, te va a aplicar a tu propia vida personal, ya que vas a amar a Jason Thorn.

Light, sweet, cuteness overload, and searing hot are what you can basically expect from this book. It's my first Ella Maise read and I found her writing tasteful. I am definitely going to read her other works soon! Let's start with the easy part. Why did they have to mention how big and soft her boobs were every single chapter? Like, okay, we get it your books are big!! stop freaking mentioning them! the way that's all Jason would think about when he saw her should already tell you how incredible their chemistry was omg. Now you may think, "I get it, it's terrible", but let me walk you through the worst part, the characters. Was this book a little cheesy? Yes. But did I still like it? Also yes. I mean Jason and Olive are literally the sweetest couple, what’s not to like about them? I really liked the whole childhood to lovers trope in this, AND ALSO THE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN OLIVE AND LUCY IS JUST AMAZING

I just find so many things wrong with this scene omg, wtf was she thinking? I don't care that he ended up being okay with it and even lowkey invited to do it every morning. He did NOT consent because he was ASLEEP. I was so disgusted by this. the parts that had (shit i forgot the heroine's name already) olive? and lucy? just talking. i get it they are bffs but idc? i was so bored.

i didnt enjoy the smut or.. anything to do with them if im being honest lol. there was just no connection or chemistry so it felt like a shallow relationship…

I listened to an audio book version of this and it was sexy and fun. Having Sebastian York as a narrator certainly didn't hurt *wink wink* :) The dialogues were interesting, the book didn't seem to drag in the second half, which so often seems to be the case for me. The book was pretty low on drama and that was also to my liking. It was easy to see when they met again that Jason is attracted to her, but his respect for her brother and parents kept him from making a move. It was so sweet and honestly hot to see that change—from seeing Olive as kind of like a little sister he wants to protect to a woman he wants to love. SWOON! I think I deserve an award for reading through this. It took me so long to get through each chapter. Jason Thorn...my brother's childhood friend. Oh, how stupidly in love with that boy I was. He was the first boy who made me blush, my first official crush. Sounds beautiful so far, right? That excitement that bubbles up inside you, those famous butterflies you feel for the very first time - he was the reason for them all. But you get to live in that fairy tale world only until they crush your hopes and dreams and then stomp on your heart for good measure. And boy did he crush my little heart into pieces. okay so from this book i realised that authors have to get there husbands/boyfriend to help then write the smut scenes right?! PENALOPE DOUGLAS YOU KINKY LMAO WTF
