About this deal

Dave: The T’au Empire are easily one of the deadliest Factions in the game in terms of both range and firepower. Put simply, if you keep the enemy at a distance, you will have a clear advantage over almost any other kill team. Of course, your opponent will no doubt be looking to tip the balance in their favour by engaging your models in close combat. However, the T’au Empire has a nasty ability that makes charging their warriors a risky business. Sa’cea Sept: They’re painted Ultramarines Blue for a reason, +1 LD and reroll a single failed hit roll per unit Emp Grenade [2ep] – a frag grenade with lethal X, where X is the save of the targeted models. Since you generally take the grenadier you won’t often pay for this. Generally I’d use this on saves of 4+ or better and skip it against worse saves.

Edge highlight the white panels with a pure white – Daler Rowney FW acrylic ink works well here, though it’s extremely thin. T’au teams have a large number of drone options to choose from. Drones generally have 6″ movement, a 4+ save, and 7 wounds.

FAQ

Comes with a pulse carbine and markerlight. This operative’s Drone Scout ability allows you to forward deploy a drone on conceal, wholly within 6” of your deployment zone. This allows you to set up drones for mission actions, suicide runs, and savior protocol safe spots further afield. Controlling the drone gives you 3 major functions; you always chain activate a drone, but you have 3 very different effects. Mobility – Between drones and Stealth battlesuits, Hunter Cadre kill teams have access to a large number of operatives with FLY, letting them move around boards pretty easily. For the cloak I went warmer, using XV-88 as the base. To distinguish from any similarly toned battlesuits, and to make the cloak feel organic, I went with an Agrax Earthshade wash, and then a highlight with Karak Stone (Karak is my goto highlight for leather). I made this post in another thread as a comment answer but it got upvoted a fair amount so I thought I might post it in a stand-alone format. Pathfinders are very capable in a gunfight thanks to their high-damage weapons and markerlights. However, with just 7 Wounds and a 5+ save, they are more fragile than average, so use cover when trading fire to keep the gunfights in your favour. Use this if your opponent has a unit that you KNOW will kill you before you get to even shoot. It’s also useful if you feel the absolutely feel the need to make your rail rifle gunner a comms specialist (but again, not recommended)Free actions can only be performed when another rule specifies. Each time an operative would perform a free action, the following rules apply.
