About this deal

We’ll start from the beginning. The SoundMagic E10S have a metal shell whose slightly higher-end style is hidden behind a bold, vibrant design.

The earpieces are much like those of the standard SoundMagic E10. They’re aluminium throughout, even though there appears to be a ‘split’ half-way down the bud. Both parts are metal. The absolute best part is their price. They go on sale for about 1300 INR or 20 USD and while I don't have experience with other popular Chi-Fi recommendations, I can definitely say it ranks up there as one of the best cheap IEM offerings. They are perfect for a pair to take while travelling or just general commutes/ going anywhere really, and not make you wince with terrible audio like some of the OEM earbuds that come with your phone. I've had them for a couple of months now and I've not found much to complain about. Definitely recommended. If the next version in the E10 series introduces better build quality and perhaps some more character into mids, they'll sell like hotcakes. Since this review was published, we have reviewed the SoundMAGIC E10S & would recommend that over the original E10. You can jump straight to it here: SoundMAGIC E10S reviewIf you don’t want this extra bass, seek out the SoundMagic E30. They’re much less popular than the E10, but offer a more neutral tone that we think is slightly superior to what’s on offer here. This great fit improves sound isolation, meaning that less external noise can be heard while they are inserted in your ear, and it also plays a big part in how they perform. Audio Quality These earphones are some of the best I've used at this price range; it's fantastic value for money. The cable is a little different, though. Where normal E10 earphones have a braided cable, the E10BT use a standard round one. It’s more susceptible to tangles, but at least there’s less cable to get tangled. You can’t connect using the microUSB port to use these earphones as a sound card for a laptop. This isn’t a feature we’d expect, but would explain the 24-bit claims.

Despite the low price tag, the Soundmagic E10 comes with some solid accessories. Besides the earphones, the box also holds a carrying pouch and seven pairs of eartips. The highs and bass when listening to music are more noticable and I think I do like the overall sound better than my FX51s for music, although perhaps less definition in some areas (IMO).

Like the former products, the SoundMAGIC E80 is designed for comfortable long-term use, and is resistant to falling out of your ears during activities. These headphones come with three types of silicone ear tips each with three separate sizes, as well as Comply memory foam tips in three sizes, to help users find the best fit for their ears. More features of the SoundMAGIC E80 Noise The SoundMAGIC E50 is designed to be worn for a long time comfortably, with a maximized design to stay in your ear no matter what activities you are doing. This product comes with 3 sizes of silicone ear tips, 3 sizes of dome shaped silicone ear tips, and a pair of double flange ear tips to help you find the perfect fit for your ear. A carrying case and a clip for ease of use accompany this as well. More features of the SoundMAGIC E50 Noise Their formula is simple. The SoundMagic E10C have an extremely populist tone. They pile on some extra bass to achieve a full, rich sound, but also offer a wide soundstage and decent treble detail. You get big fun bass, but also enough high-end flavour to conclude, within two bars of music, that these earphones are easily worth their money. The E11C/E11 keeps the main features and design of the E10 and improves significantly on build quality and the cable design whilst keeping the price very affordable.

SoundMAGIC's acoustic engineers carefully configured the drivers of the E10 to produce exciting sound with powerful bass and balanced musical detail. They punch well above their weight in terms of sound quality. The in-ear design combined with the right eartip makes sure the sound is not lost or diluted. Sitting comfortably in the earcanal, the E10 ensures hours of fatigue-free listening fun. They also have a significant impact on sound quality. Using the normal silicone tips we found that due to the uneven seal in each ear we got variable sound quality, resulting in a lopsided sound – different tones were stronger in one ear than the other. We didn’t seem to be able to rectify this no matter how much we adjusted the fit. However, with the foam tips we got a much more consistent seal and more balanced sound. However, if you’re looking for a “serious” earphone with a tone closer to that of a true high-end set, you should also consider the SoundMagic E50. The Fidue A65 are another great budget choice if you want something that sits in the middle ground, with slightly tamer bass. The fit of a pair of sound isolating in ear headphones is a critical element in how good they sound. The SoundMagic E10 earphones provide not just your usual 3 sets of ear adaptors (small, medium & large), but an impressive 7 pairs! This range of fitting means that you are pretty much guaranteed to get fantastic, comfortable fit.As you can see from the specs, the E10 sports a fairly standard frequency range, but with a little more action in the lows and highs. The relatively high impedance (for an earphone, at least) could benefit from some amplification, but still seems to cope with low-power devices like phones and computers. Sound pressure level is a pretty common 100 decibels, and you’d be hard-pressed to not find adequate volume in most listening situations. Low End SoundMagic seems to want to make earphones you can use all day as your main pair, not just for a gym session or run. The design is also equally good. The shiny gold metallic design looks flashy without being over the top, and the use of metal makes the unit look much more expensive than it actually is. Comfort is something which is dependent on people's ears, but for me they feel nice (when using the bi-flanges). Another success. A new feature on the E10C is a clever three-button remote that works across iOS and Android. Sound quality hasn’t really changed, but if you’re after a bassier sound then that’s no bad thing. The SoundMagic E10S look a good deal like the E10 earphones, but if you owned that set years ago you may notice a few little tweaks to the design.Impressive but affordable upgrade. If you're thinking about buying a new set of earphones to replace the standard issue iPod ones, SoundMAGIC's E10 is definitely worth considering." The design positively screams for your attention. All of Soundmagic’s products are like this. Some in a good way. This is in a good way! Thank heavens! I can really recommend the Soundmagic E10 if one's looking for a natural, dynamic, non-fatiguing sound signature. They provide honest, effortless reproduction of audio material. The E10 are definitely worth their money, and then some." The brand has hit the market with affordable models including PL50, E50, and not to mention the extremely popular E10. The SoundMAGIC E11C sent in for an evaluation is the successor to the E10c with the same affordable price tag and a patented design. Key Differences But it’s 2018, and cheap earphones are a-dime-a-dozen. Except the E10. The E10 is the best cheap earphone you’ll ever listen to. Final Analysis
