Kirk says that he had made up his mind to become a writer at the age of nine. He had completed a class assignment on author Roald Dahl and realized for the first time that writing can also help people earn money. And as Kirk loved both money and writing, it seemed like he had found his perfect match. Subsequently, Kirk attempted to write and publish his first piece at the age of 11 when he submitted a letter in a Batman comic. Though he did not receive any money for his effort, it was enough for him to get his name printed as a writer and thereby cemented his ambition. And over the course of the next thirty years, Kirk successfully published more than a hundred novels under different pen names. He also wrote several animation scripts, comics, and also a few screenplays of feature-length films. He would decide to become an author at age nine when he finished working on a Roald Dahl project in class. It was this project that showed him that writing was something that he could do professionally. Again if you do not like swearing then by now you should know that these books wont be for you but if you have started here then be warned the language is flying and if the F’s, and S’s and even the C’s offend then please don’t read this one you wont like it. Even though it is hilarious and is intended that way if you aren’t amused by bad language then this absolutely wont be for you!!! This book will satisfy that violent, explosive Christmas requirement for those that do in fact believe that Die Hard is a Christmas movie (IT IS!!!). 🤣🎅 Kirk began writing his noir fiction in 2019 and two years after launching the “DCI Logan Crime Thriller” series, he penned “Northwind,” the first of the “Robert Hoon Thriller” series.But it is his enemies who have all the information about what happened to his friend’s daughter. However, what his enemies do not know is that this case has given him a purpose in life which makes him very dangerous.

The Hoon books were always meant to be fun, I mean they go dark at points, but it’s always been me having an absolute blast writing them. I suppose it’s been like a tour of all my writing inspirations as well, so it goes through books I’ve read, films I’ve seen, and there’s little winks and nods to those, down all the way to things like how my daughter’s really into anime and there’s little nods to that in there. So yeah, it’s been a celebration of all the fiction I’ve loved really. With it being the last one in the series as well I’d say it’s probably not as dark as some of the earlier ones, despite it being an Incel terrorist takeover! It’s more a celebration of Bob Hoon.

You mention how you didn’t do any marketing for the Space Team titles, and I’m sure there are a lot of writers considering self-publishing but who are unsure of how to go about it. Do you have a magic tip? The “Robert Hoon Thrillers” are an exciting set of novels that are all about the adventures of Bob Hoon, the Detective Superintendent first introduced in the DCI Logan Thriller sereis. Caroline their daughter that had gone missing, it seems that Hoon has pissed off some dangerous people.In late 2020, I first had the idea of giving Hoon his own novel. It was ridiculous, I knew. Here was a character so thoroughly unpleasant that even if readers enjoyed his scenes, surely they couldn’t cope with a full length novel in which he took centre stage? Surely they couldn’t actually empathise with such a man and cheer him on? He is a former police officer and former soldier and is currently a man on the edge. He divided his time between a whisky bottle and a dead-end job and is shunned by colleagues. This work continues from where the first of the series left off. After helping his former colleagues find I said before that the character of Hoon is over the top. He exemplifies the stereotypes taken to an extreme. But in this story we see even more of his redeeming characteristics. We see the intelligence that led Hoon to rise to the rank of Detective Chief Inspector. We also see that he is willing to sacrifice for others. And even though he has a past filled with mistakes, he will do what is right.
