About this deal

It's that time of year again when it's absolutely acceptable to eat chocolate for breakfast. Followed by a hot cross bun. The long bank holiday weekend is upon us, and with that, a few extra days off work to spend time with friends and family. Ahead of Easter weekend this April, the Marks and Spencer's "egg-stra" special treats are available to buy in store now, but sign say the chocolate eggs won't stay on the shelves for the long. Aldi's ripple egg looked very fancy. Made from Moser Roth Belgian Milk Chocolate and Caramelised Biscuit, it tasted absolutely delicious. The shell was gorgeous to look at, and even better to taste.

It had scrumptious crunchy bits and was ever so moreish. The German retailer also sells dark chocolate and caramel, and white chocolate and raspberry ripple flavoured eggs too. It was certainly something a bit different, I thought. My first impression when I tried to eat it was how messy it was. The Colin the Caterpillar Easter egg is perfect for kids. Wrapped in florescent green foil, the large egg was super creamy and smooth. Plus it came with a large bag of white chocolate mini Colin faces. It is among the retailer's higher-end Easter products and other flavours in the decadent range includes a pink gin white chocolate egg, also with fabulous marbling. It is quite pricey mind you. Gone have the days where the option was simply white, milk or dark chocolate. Now you can buy everything from salted caramel, honeycomb and popping candy, to marble, pink and dairy free eggs. Egg-stra special Easter treats are here: find Colin the Caterpillar eggs, fun Ombles and luxurious Collection eggs expertly crafted by chocolatiers and so much more in store now," wrote the store. GT22 Nice contents but a very expensive way to buy The contents were great as always and my daughter absolutely loved it, but calculating the value of the contents it is actually very over priced Watch: I tried chocolate party cakes from Tesco, Aldi, Asda, Lidl and Waitrose and one made me insanely happy

Sue5837 Easter Colin bag of goodies Lovely bag of Colin goodies. Great for sharing with family and friends I headed down to Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Marks and Spencer and Asda to see what they had to offer and whether they could compete with the famous chocolate brands this Easter. It's fair to say I was surprised. Some of the confectionery from the budget supermarkets in particular were especially delicious. 10. Last place: Kit Kat Chunky

It's crunchy, crispy, silky, creamy and absolutely delicious. It may not come with any extra bags of chocolate, but the egg is huge and the salt and sweet combination is a sure-fire winner. Asda also sells Raspberry and Marshmallow White Chocolate, and Peppermint and Cocoa Nib Dark Chocolate flavours as well. Yum. The middle assortment of cereals was much sweeter than the outside egg making a nice balance. This egg would be perfect for kids who just want to dig in and get messy.
