About this deal

Oh my god this book was so damn fun to read. It really kept me hooked from start to finish. There wasn’t a moment of this book where I didn’t have a blast. Mysteries were fun and compelling, fights were insane and cool, the plot was a total rollercoaster, my god I loved it. It is absolutely the strongest part of this book in my opinion. There’s not much else to say about it other than it was a really good time. The rabbit hole it has led me down has been equally interesting and enjoyable. From now on, Kira applies himself to perfect his disguise and steadily make sure nothing about him is suspect. However, his sexual frustration grows as he refrains himself from killing and one evening, he almost lets himself kill Shinobu, who fortunately mistake his gestures for mere sexual advances. Meanwhile Hayato spies on his parents, and wonders why his father would practice writing his own name over and over again. DIO reveals his Stand for the first timeThe sunlight forces DIO to retreat in the shadows. As the Joestar Group reaches the top of his mansion's tower, DIO punishes Nukesaku for leading the heroes to him and cuts him into several pieces. Sensing a great danger, the Joestar Group jumps out of the window. Madness Mantra: "Scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared scared...." I have seen this book jokingly described elsewhere as a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fanfiction but the comparison is an apt one. I would certainly not recommend reading this story without having read the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure manga from part 1 (Phantom Blood) through to the end of part 7 (Steel Ball Run) as this novel references characters, events and powers from across the manga and expects you to know them. If you read it having only watched the anime or before reading all of the manga, expect to be very confused and to have a lot of the series plot points spoiled for you!

The concept of Beyond is comparable to God. Beyond is depicted as being the author of the story guiding the hero to where they should be or where they are needed at a certain moment of time. Beyond chooses someone to be the hero of their story. The hero has to be aware of their role, believe in Beyond, and understand that they are a fictional main character in a story.

Reviews

Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli: As the man who created the Stone Masks, Kars is essentially responsible for the deaths of Caesar's father, grandfather and great-grand father.

Yeah, it’s completely insane. But also technically has no plot holes. Technically. So, here’s the thing about Jorge. You can understand a good chunk of this book off of just Jojo alone... Cool Spaceship: NASA's interplanetary spaceship ◊ for expeditions to Mars, which is named after H. G. Wells. It can withstand battle of Stand users inside and solid pummeling from the outside without taking too much damage and is only destroyed, when the self-destruct system is activated. Kars' spaceship, made of other versions of himself and some scrap from interplanetary probes, also counts. I’m leaving it at an 8 because there’s no one I would really say is “S tier” though. Maybe Dio, depends on the day you ask me.The spaceship of Kars smashes into the Arrow Cross House as Jorge assumes that they all are about to die. However, Kars saves them by transforming his body into a sphere. As they step outside, Jorge realizes that they are in an unfamiliar landscape rather than Morioh. Narancia sends out a few hundred tiny U-Boats onto the grass, having them scout in all directions. Jorge remembers that he was still borrowing a version of U-Boat from Kars and does the same thing. Body Manipulation: As the Ultimate Thing, Kars'body contains the DNA of every organism to ever live on the Earth. He can manipulate his entire body on a cellular level to gain the traits of any life-form, such as bird-like wings that enable him to fly. He can even detach parts of himself and transform them into separate organisms that act independently of himself, such as turning his hand into a flesh-eating squirrel or turning his feathers into armadillo-scale projectiles that morph into piranhas and octopus tentacles to bring down Joseph's plane.

This is an unstructured mess from beginning to end. It is fanfiction in the worst ways conceivable - characters are thrown around and played with in ways thay feel self-indulgent while also being completely stupid. The writing isn't very good either, I just kept getting lost in whatever a sentence was trying to say and there's only so much that I can blame on translators (and iirc, it was translated by ppl who've also been doing a decent job with Part 8, i know manga and novels are different but still). Pericolo: After her mother's death, Trish's existence was brought to attention of Passione. She was subsequently passed on to Pericolo's care, under the instructions of The Boss, who brought her to Capri to meet Team Bucciarati. Kars and his other versions have complete control over the form of their bodies. His 36 alternate universe versions form themselves into The Eyed Balloon. [20] In 1986, when Diavolo was 19, the priest (who by then had completely adopted Diavolo as his son) spotted Diavolo walking on the beach with Donatella. Believing it was time to get Diavolo a car, the priest began to construct a garage, only to find a young woman, Diavolo's mother, buried alive in the dirt with her mouth sewn shut. That night, a fire broke out and razed the village, killing the priest and five other people. Diavolo was listed as a casualty as well.Slept Through the Apocalypse: Rohan was so utterly absorbed in his work that Made In Heaven simply didn't affect him and he carried over into the next universe unchanged. Leone Abbacchio: While Trish and Abbacchio did not interact much, he nonetheless becomes a crucial ally to her and the rest of the team in discovering the Boss's true identity. Wounds: A subconscious Stand-like ability formed when the user is subject to repeated trauma, and exist to stop the user's suffering. Although the family's members are largely referred to as the Joestars, the family name itself died out early in the series with Joseph, as he only had 2 children, a daughter and a illegitimate son. From then on they had different names such as "Kujo" and "Cujoh". The high number of illegitimate children in the family also results in names such as "Higashikata" or " Giovanna". The most prominent members of the family throughout the generations have had a tendency to have alliterative names, earning them the shared moniker of " JoJo" amongst their respective friends and/or family.
