Why this crank adjustable over an electric adjustable desk? PRICE is right! The crank is not difficult at all and only takes a few seconds vs an electric with single or dual motor where I would have to worry about the motor going out in the future. (I plan to keep this desk for many many many years). Motor will eventually go out and would have to look for another or fix it yourself. The size of the desk was perfect for portability going through doors from one room to the next while most electric stand up desk have it too wide for it and/or buy the desktop separate. Officially the Mount-it monitor arm supports 33 pounds (35-inch). It’s strong and stable and has no issues in holding its position. The good thing is that the arms can be tightened and loosened. The arms do allow for nearly soundless adjustment. I am able to make adjustments while on a call and nobody hears it. Many monitor arms now have some form of cable management. Also, the tension seems to vary across different points through the range of movement. Maybe this is normal for these types of arms? I'm satisfied thus far, but there is certainly room for improvement.
