About this deal

The horror vision of Bedford Falls turned into the degenerate Pottersville is like an alternate-universe in a time travel science fiction story. Being an upgraded remastered version of the film, you can definitely tell that they have put the necessary work into this Blu-ray release to allow you to feel you are watching the most original feel to the 1946 film.

He’s a good man and carries on as head of the savings and loan that serves the town’s working folks. There are a few cynics who will disparage this film, but, in a "feel good" genre clogged with imitators and inferior features, ‘IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE’ stands high above the rest. It's a Wonderful Life was not a big hit on its initial release, and it won no Oscars (Capra and Stewart were nominated); but it continues to weave a special magic. To top things off, the print is close to near perfect condition, noticeably cleaner than the original inferior DVD presentation, with far less visible dust, dirt and nicks on the print. Ninety minutes in, when the back story catches up with the 'present', the Angels release us from the flashback and the rest of the tale plays out in real time. Using the device of an Angel observing from heaven makes George's biography watchable because the viewer is told with Clarence that every detail is important. James Stewart cited George bailey as being his favourite character and when Frank Capra inherited the project, he wrote it for James Stewart.
