The Ileach brand was introduced back in late 1990s, when the Vintage Malt Whisky Company was approached to create a peated product for the Swedish market. Unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise, your use of and membership to the Service are exclusively governed by Dutch law. I got a 2014 bottling of Uigeadail that I'm not too impressed with because I think it has got some pretty young and raw whisky in, and I think that there is quite a distinctive shared note between the two, though it is much more pronounced in the Ileach.

This edition of The Ileach single malt whisky is a cask strength bottling from an unnamed Islay distillery. I have the Raasay Distillery Exclusive Tourism Destination of the Year Award 2022 and, despite not setting me on fire, is still worthy of another check. The Ileach is a cracking Islay malt from an undisclosed distillery, Ileach means Man from Islay in Scots Gaelic (good little fact to tell your friends) This is the cask strength edition of this range and is one of our favourites here at House of Malt. It's a secret which Islay distillery this whisky comes from but it is a heavily peated whisky with a long finish.

Este whisky es una marca comercial que procede en original de alguna de las destillerías de la Isla de Islay.

Amazingly, the tasting notes for the weaker version are exactly the same as for this sea facing monster. Hier kommen zum Ende hin neben dem leichten Raucharoma noch deutliche Sherryaromen hinzu, auch Früchte sind hier etwas mehr vertreten als beim Finlaggan. Alongside the Raasay, the The Ileach whisky is not just holding its own, it’s singing - the robust smokiness alongside a fresh, bright, tangy spirit is raising eyebrows. Those Islay lovers can give it a try, but I think I will move on to something with more depth and twist.

Tonight I’ve poured alongside it a dram of the Raasay Distillery Tourism bottle, one that I just reviewed and upset a few people. They always source peated single malt from the same distillery for each of them, but each brand uses a different source. Turning back to the Raasay after a while, it definitely has more subtleties going on: more complexity even, that takes more energy to extract. My taste buds can usually bounce back from a peat monster, but I’d suggest you save this dram for the end of the night; it will burn your tongue off.

This bottle was opened at the Ontario Summit on May 23, is about 80% full and to my knowledge has been preserved with inert Gas since that time. In Dramface’s efforts to be as inclusive as possible we recognise the need to capture the thoughts and challenges that come in the early days of those stepping inside the whisky world. Aufgrund einiger Aussagen das er sehr ähnlich schmecken würde aber eine etwas größere Aromenvielfalt bieten würde. The Liberator Wines We’ve had the great pleasure of knowing Richard for many years now – not just from a shared passion of South African wine, but also out of mutual respect.Between 1995 and 2002, he lived and worked in the Cape, witnessing the renaissance of the post-apartheid wine industry. A big initial blast of smoke is backed up by sweet oily notes on the palate, and a youngish, fiery finish.
