About this deal

For its scale I think the designers did a good job approximating the shape and style of the Death Star II. When I saw the Imperial Trooper figure from the first LEGO Death Star for the first time, I got the feeling that his helmet wasn’t done properly. The TIE Fighter is easy to construct with 65 pieces, but the Death Star itself is even more basic by comparison. The amount of figs is amazing, and it's all of the little details that make this set one of the best in SW. A large laser can be found next to the trash compactor, and is composed of two lasers, and a TECHNIC cannon.

The set comes with a mini Star Destroyer which attaches to the side of the Death Star, making it look even larger in comparison. DISCLAIMER: LEGO, The LEGO logo, the Brick and Knob configurations and the minifigure are trademarks of the LEGO group, which does not sponsor, authorise or endorse Blocks magazine.Features a superlaser control room, Imperial conference chamber, hangar bay with moving launch rack and detachable TIE Advanced with space for Lord Vader inside, Emperor Palpatine’s throne room, Droid maintenance room, detention block, trash compactor, tractor beam, cargo area, turbo laser with spring-loaded shooters and seats for the 2 Death Star gunners, and 2 movable turbo laser towers. I like most of the changes, but all the colorful Technic pieces when 10188 had mostly monochromatic ones is definitely a step back. This set has the most minifigures released in one non-minifigure generic set ever with a total of 24.

A different window piece in the throne room; the same piece was used in the Death Star Final Duel set, while 10188 used a TIE fighter windshield piece. But LEGO's contributions are definitely among the best, even if some of their models are more fully formed than others. The doors of the ship open up to expose the cockpit that has plenty of room for troops and is made with some of the largest individual LEGO pieces made. Due to my crazy work schedule and lots of personal life family activities, I had to drag this out over a few weeks. These collectible products have been adapted to represent many different Star Wars ships and vehicles. This version of the Devastator (Imperial ship names aim to intimidate) is way more than just a big grey triangle. This fantastic set also includes 23 iconic minifigures and 2 Droids to ensure hours of Star Wars battle fun. There is a place on the ceiling to connect Luke Skywalker's grapple rope, allowing the builder to recreate the scene in which he and Leia Organa swing across the chasm. This set was released to substantial criticism, with several LEGO reviewers and fans claiming it was one of the worst ever due to the fact that it is almost the exact same as the older 10188 Death Star with only a small minifigure selection update. As Christmas trees are a popular place for toys to be found, Ask Toy Tech offers a brief history and pictures of the Christmas ornament tradition.

Small gaps are present but the inside of the Death Star is pretty dark so they aren’t as noticeable.

After Princess Leia was forced to give them the location of the Rebel base so her homeworld would not be destroyed (to which she gave the wrong location) Grand Moff Tarkin still executed the command to destroy the planet of Alderaan, using the superlaser. I wondered about the solid-red vs trans-orange on the elevator but as you saw I didn't have enough trans-orange left since I used them on the trash compactor. The fact that there was really nothing to build, no special features or interactive elements meant that this largely acted as a decoration.
