The Sherlock Holmes universe appears to have evergreen appeal across all media formats, and in this case, the focus is on the London street urchins that the master detective sometimes employed for various tasks. I've always wanted a greater look at these street urchins from what we've seen of them in the original stories and the adaptations, and this does a wonderful job showing what's on the line. The only suggestion I have is to make the arrows of the speech balloons straight instead of lightning-jagged. This is a book for adults and it managed the blend of youthful characters, but adult themes quite well.

While I have not read the original French, the translated text flows well, and the characters all have their own voice. Congrats to the whole team Paradiso Media, Emi Norris, Yael Even Or, Kaitlin Parker, Brendan Galbreath, Madeleine Weinberg, Tarek Fouda, Lisa DeCanio, Margaret Kelley, Meredith Carlin, Jillian Bonanne, Lorenzo Benedetti, Benoit Dunaigre and Louis Daboussy. It all begins when Holmes entrusts his proteges with a new case to investigate Lord Neville Asprey III's nocturnal escapades in the East End. Amazing drawings that gives me a nostalgic feel of old non-Disney 2D-animation movies (always a plus), and the coloring is simply gorgeous. The portrayal of Victorian London is immaculate, and the joy of recognising particular landmarks – coupled with a sense of some historical accuracy – gives the book a certain charm especially when combined with the nostalgic child-driven plot.

The Baker Street Four are a group of spies that watch the streets of London for the infamous Sherlock Holmes and Watson. The Baker Street Irregulars play a lead role in the series of cooperative board games Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective, first published in 1981 with multiple expansions released later. Working for Sherlock they get involved in unexpected cases trying to solve them and I have to say they are pretty great at doing it! The adventures of the Baker Street Irregulars continue in the fourth volume of the award-winning comics series based on Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. A great first installment in the series of the three friends' adventures, which can be viewed as a spin-off of the famous Sherlock Holmes's stories.
