I've lost count of how many David Walliams books I've read now (all with my 10yo) but this one has been my favourite so far. Not just because it's a different illustrator but he has changed how he illustrates, with some of the illustrations drawn in the style of a comic. The different fonts and sizes and sound effects are such a pain to read aloud and let's be honest are little more than padding.
