About this deal

The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. has a sturdy build, a poorly executed manual focus ring, a snappy autofocus system, and absolutely top notch image quality. And finally, most of the manual focus ring’s shortfalls would be made up for if it felt super smooth when spun. Quite expensive but then again, this camera and these three lenses can do just about anything you need and give you amazing IQ as well. I have owned and tried many cameras but only a DSLR like the Canon 5DIII will get razor sharp shots with a 200mm or 300mm telephoto of kids playing soccer.

Compared to larger sensor cameras, m43 cameras aren’t as good at isolating subjects from the background. It can be too long, but, actually get used to using it for street photography in certain situations. As to the hood, I chose a diy-solution, taking a plastic bottle with exactly the diameter of the focus-ring of the lens ( so I can even focus manually), cutting its length just to cover the whole lens plus 4 cm (the hood) and coating it with some black foil. It’s only natural that this works the other way when he expresses his lack of enthusiasm towards some manufacturers. I remember looking at my wife with frustration in my eyes because I wasn’t able to capture what I was seeing in my viewfinder.Further, you gain at least 2-3 stops in the other direction because of the OM-Ds excellent internal VR and lack of a mirror…I can hand hold to 1/6″ on my OM-D and retain sharpness on a 90MM equivalent lens…can’t get anywhere close to that on my D700.

I still think this photo is one of the best I’ve ever shot and I chalk it up to the Olympus 75mm f/1. Expectedly, the 75mm manual focus ring feels poor when rotated and spins far too easily for ideal control. It is a challenge since we were shooting Chow Kit, a market setting which did not allow much working space between the camera and subjects. Everything about this 75mm (150mm*) prime lens is high-precision - from its advanced assembling and polishing technology through to its high-grade optical performance and outstanding details in stills and movies.but the image quality wasn’t as good as I was hoping for (given that it is cheap, I probably got what I paid for).

I can see having this legendary lens in my bag for as long as I’m shooting the micro four thirds system on either an Olympus or Panasonic body. If you want test charts – DXOMark tested this lens as the best performing m43 lens in their database. I’ve shot a few indoor stage events with this lens, and it performed very well with a good hit rate. That’s what makes me so curious as to how Olympus improved the state-of-the-art with the EM-5 sensor (coupled with the reportedly awesome Olympus Primes like the 12, 48, and 75)! I am the one who dubbed it “X-Slow 1” in my review and I am not the only one who had issues with that camera. Please complete the form below for a quote - Please be as accurate as possible to help us give an accurate quote. Therefore, it is extremely crucial to be able to plan ahead, and train yourself (myself, as a reminder too) not just focus too much on what is surrounding you as you normally would do with the wider lenses such as 35mm or 50mm.
