About this deal

After thoroughly enjoying Confessions of a 40-Year-Old F***Up, I was thrilled to hear there was a sequel. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. In books, TV shows and films, everything is dialled up to be fantasy, the perfect wife/husband, the perfect children, the perfect house, the perfect figure, the perfect job, the perfect life.

From that late urge to want motherhood to dealing with the beginnings of Perimenopause, friendships becoming fragile as everyone is dealing with their own issues and realising you might not actually have it all together, despite being closer to 50 than before. I was worried I wouldn't remember what happened in the first one seeing as it has been over 2 years since I read it, but you're instantly thrown into it. First of all, thank you NetGalley, Pan Macmillan, and Alexandra Potter for allowing me access to this e-ARC! Brilliantly written, extremely relatable, honest, full of humour and totally uplifting, Everyone needs to read this (you don’t have to be forty-something) and realise it’s never too late to change what you don’t like in your life and their are tons of women dealing with the same thoughts and feelings. It showcases the joy of inter generational relationships and explores loss grief and joy in a gentle but informative way.Born and raised in Yorkshire, Alexandra lived for several years in LA before settling back in the UK. No one is interested in seeing your misery but for some people whose lives aren’t perfect (and by that, I mean everyone), it sometimes feels that those heavily curated posts suggest everyone has it good except….

there’s the ‘unexpected baggage’, things you thought you’d dealt with and suddenly find that you haven’t.arī daudz uzskatāmāki piemēri tam, cik ļoti visi mēdz kļūdīties un justies kā neveiksminieki tad, kad visi citi domā, ka tev ir viss ir ļoti labi. Yorkshire born and raised, Alexandra lives in London with her Californian husband and their Bosnian rescue dog. Kriketas lnija šoreiz man patika vēl jo vairāk - ir iedvesmojoši domāt, ka viss notiek un nav par vēlu arī tad, kad tev jau ir 80+, ne tikai 40+. Although creating your own coffin… maybe I’d pass on that 😂 This sequel to Confessions of a forty-something f**k up did not disappoint!
