In the UK, the first four series of Foyle's War were released as two two-disc DVDs per series, with two episodes each and episode titles instead of series numbers. Notable authors on the town during this period and who are acknowledged in these books as offering further information are Nathan Dylan Goodwin, Victoria Seymour and Mary Haskell Porter. and so I can't praise this edition more, mainly for two basic reasons: One, finally we got to see these fantastic episodes WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES; and two, we did not have to suffer the many ad breaks as one has to do when you see them on TV, which really does spoil the flow, and therefore the enjoyment.
