Pepper at the top notes, mint at the heart and leather and amber in the base are the components that save the fragrance from becoming a mediocre citric concoction. Cerruti Image brings to light the beauty of women while maintaining the mystery of each individual woman. The bottle is unusual, it reminds me a bit of a lighter and I like the overall simple, elegant but minimal style, it matches the simplicity of the scent inside it. Oophs, I received a sample as a gift and I always thought it's for men:D I see now the little socket thi si the women version. They could be a factor here as this is very very slightly reminiscent of Amouage Reflection which on occasion has a faint banana smell to it.

The middle 'green' notes seem to be bypassed completely and within 10 minutes am left with a very powdery cedar and nothing else.NOTE: As a seller, you are solely responsible for the legitimacy of the product, and its images and descriptions. I've always been a huge fan of 1881 from Cerruti, A fragrance which signifies a bygone era of 80's and 90's fragrances that have stood the test of time. I tried it with crisp white smart shirt, tried with trainers and t-shirt for jogging, tried on a summer night, and all I can say - it just fits the moment. The heart of the composition is fresh with the bitterness of gentian root, water mint and mineral carbon note. Very early in the development of the scent, the leather note peeks through, but it is more of a pungent, herbal, greenish suede-leather, less of a cured smoky leather (though this comes from someone who is only beginning to track down and differentiate leather fragrances, so this opinion is humbly rendered).

Hmmm that powdery note is barely there, just fresh, clean, greenery with almost a fresh washed linen smell. This was presented to me and whilst I wasn't that impressed with it, I bought a 30ml bottle, mainly to save face. Starts off fruity and spicy, like peaches and licorice (licorice or anise is definitely in this scent), then softens even more, developing a pale green smell, with a silky, subtle sweetness. EDT: The opening is a bright and clean citrus to me, so imagine my surprise when I looked at the list of notes and finding fruits instead. The invigorating pepper and grapefruit notes only last a short while, and an hour into wear it has transformed into a heavy, spicy, woody fragrance.A perfume that brings me very far back in the university days and that evokes me beautiful memories. Had a change of heart, longevity is about 8 hours, altho it does seem to become faint the longer it is on your skin, but it is still there! I layered it with Givenchy Pour Homme and it gives me beautiful feeling , my lovely lavender and olibanum with lemon.

The sleek and modern design of the bottle reflects the sophistication and refined taste of its wearer, adding an extra touch of elegance to the overall experience. This is sharper than the majority of fresh fragrances I have experienced, yet at the same time manages to be relatively unobtrusive. I wouldn't say it's outdated, but it's certainly different from the typical blue fragrance or citruses nowadays. I think it's a very two dimensional scent in that it has top notes of fruity pear/apple then something which to me resembles a gentle accord of lavender/vanilla and musk.

Now lavender and vanilla are not in the note breakdown and I suspect it's the creamy sandalwood/white musk combo which is giving that effect. I found Cerruti Image as one of those scents perfect for work setting: clean and fresh with a quiet projection. As it travels to the phase where it begins to settle, there's mild coolness of mint combined with wood to accompany grapefruit and pepper.An intoxication of green mixed with slight florals, figs and berries, gives this just the perfect amount of freshness and sweetness. If you're a fan of this do not delay as it's still a very nice fragrance and if you have olfactory memories attached to it like I have, then even more reason to get yourself a bottle. I would say, this is one of my signature perfumes, because it is different, bright, energetic, positive and clean. The perfume was made for a contemporary, active and creative woman, who spends more of her life working, and has a positive attitude to reality.
