The final outlet is the one at the very bottom of the appliance near where the power cable enters the appliance. Even on its lowest fan speed, there's no denying that the AEG Comfort 6000 Portable Air Conditioner makes noise, and that noise increases with each jump up from Min through Mid to Max fan speed, whereby AEG states the unit will max out at a volume of 64dB. Keep it on for longer and the temps will drop even further; my flat felt positively arctic after a while.

Depending on the starting room temperature, the output from the heat hose can reach high levels, so you may need to make sure the hose is positioned correctly, not resting on or touching anything aside from your window and pointing far enough away from your room. That said, if, like me, you want to use the air conditioner in an upstairs room (rooms above ground level tend to get the warmest in hot weather) then you will still need to negotiate carrying it up the stairs. I didn’t have a 90m³ space available, but I tested the 12,000 BTU Chillflex Pro in two rooms; one measuring roughly 14m³ and another at 56m³. If you have a bigger area to cool, or poorer insulation that means you need to leave the air conditioner running for longer, then it's going to cost more.I would just have liked the symbols and text on the control panel to be a little bit bigger to make things easier for anyone who's eyesight isn't the best. Stand in front of the unit for few minutes on Cool mode and you'll soon start to feel positively chilly so quick is it to dispense the fridge-cold air. With a maximum quoted noise level of 64dB, the AEG Chillflex Pro is about as loud as any other portable air conditioner on the market. It's not exactly stylish, but its glossy white finish and matt black top along with its curved sides do make it much easier on the eye than many. On the plus side, I found I didn't need the AEG Comfort 6000 Portable Air Conditioner running long to cool down a room.
