About this deal

I think this book is wonderful and I think all children in schools should be given one as in the world right as children are suffering with there mental health and in schools there isn't the support there should be. It covers various subjects, including depression, exam based stress, anxiety, relationships, bereavement, scoial media and how it distorts our view of reality, and even touches on self harm and getting help with that. Some may think self harm to be a controversial topic for this age range, but as scary as it seems, since I personally know a couple of young people who actually do this I believe it is a subject that does need to addressed. This audiobook provides all the scaffolding and practical techniques to help you do this, so though you might be having a hard time right now, you can look toward your future with optimism and positivity.

As a black man over 63 trying to understand the state of my mental health is an on going learning curve. Most books cover grief solely as something experienced after a death and it’s so refreshing to see it described as loss; whether that’s a breakup, someone you know longer see etc there are many ways to experience loss and grief but it isn’t acknowledged as much as it should be.

But there are ways we can stay on top of our mental health - including overcoming stigma, talking about our feelings, developing resilience and switching our mindset. Even if you’re not the intended age, it’s a useful reminder if you work/support children and young people - the reason I read. This book provides all the scaffolding and practical techniques, so readers can look toward their future with optimism and positivity. This book is definitely aimed at children but needs to be children who already have an understanding of feelings. And not just your run of the mill explanations, but tangible emotions explained through real-life scenarios. It is not included in promotions available to our main range products, as stated in our terms of service. This book provides all the scaffolding and practical techniques to help you do this, so though you might be having a hard time right now, you can look toward your future with optimism and positivity. It covers things like exams, friendships, hormones but also heavier topics like grief and depression.

These helpful books not only explain the changes that happen to children’s bodies and emotions, but can also empower them as they grow into teenagers and beyond. Now as the mother of a 9 year old ASD/ADHD daughter who is already anxious, I'm well aware that her mental health is something that we need to be aware of and work on to avoid history repeating itself. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.I truly believe this book should be read by every student, parent, teacher, social worker, and child psychologist. A Better Day’ is a positive, accessible and practical toolkit guiding young readers in how they can care for their mental health with confidence. This book describes how to rationalise your irrational anxious thoughts, to be comfortable with yourself and see the positives in what make you unique because 'You are worthy, You are good enough' How making a mistake does not make you a failure, but learning from them builds resilience and strength of character as stated on page 174 'Don't be afraid to start over again.
