This is a 26 litre unisex day pack, part of Osprey’s 2018 range that also includes an 18 litre version. However for less windy conditions the rain cover does keep the pack and contents dry and I find the cover useful as something to pull out and sit on when its not being used as a rain cover. There are a huge number of pockets on the Osprey, with a zipped valuables/sunglasses pocket at the top, two huge stretch mesh side pockets for whatever you want to stick in them, plus a roomy and versatile front patch pocket which fastens with the pack’s upper compression straps, making it ideal for storage of all sorts of bits and pieces like a waterproof jacket or fleece when not in use. Our team are working extended hours to get through this as quickly as possible, we ask you to be patient during this busy time.A range of storage space, including two PowerMesh™ side pockets and a scratch-free zippered pocket, means you can organise all your gear in one place. There are two mesh side pockets which are slightly larger and looser than on some similar sized packs which means they are easy to use for water bottles.

It’s nowhere near as luxurious as the memory foam you see on heavier load luggers, but this pack isn’t meant to be carrying that kind of weight. The Airspeed™ Suspension Backpanel features 3D-tensioned breathable mesh to provide a more supportive fit while enhancing airflow and ventilation to prevent sweat and moisture build-up underneath the backpack contact points. This restricts the amount of weight you will want to carry in this pack, but the size suits lightweight days in any case. The recent extended spell of dry weather has kept me from testing this aspect of the pack, but the cover gives good coverage of the pack and should perform as well as the other rain covers on Osprey’s packs.
