The EquiGroomer design allows most of the hair to gently fall to the floor and not fly through the air and land on your clothes, face or hands. Removing dead, loose hair and dirt from your horse, dog or pet with ease leaving a shiny, smooth coat. This simple design combs through thick, dense hair with ease and doesn’t pull or make it uncomfortable for your horse. We have tested it on all types of animals, and even those with grooming issues have actually enjoyed being groomed rather than shying away from the usual routine.Designed with a solid wooden handle and a blade from hardened steel ensuring the blade will not wear down. It is also especially effective at lifting grease and wax from the horse’s coat (see image below), leaving them nice and shiny, however this is slightly tricky to clean off the blade. Now that we are coming into summer I am using the EquiGroomer on all of the horses at the yard and have had no problems with it. The metal blade has tiny even serrations and can be used on the most sensitive or soft skinned animals with confidence.

Unlike most grooming tools that work by reaching down through the coat and pulling the loose hair out from the base, tiny burrs on the teeth of the EquiGroomer’s blade grab onto the scales that form on dead, dry hair and remove only what needs to be removed.This also helps to bring natural oils onto the skin, which is particularly important for animals that are bathed on a regular basis.

Overall I would recommend this tool to anyone who wants a quick and effective way of removing dead hair during shedding season. I found that the EquiGroomer performed similarly to a metal curry comb and was effective at removing dried mud from his long coat.
