I truly wanted to start a new series with no background, but it was annoying getting introduced to other characters and see who they married and who had kids and how they are all friends. There is emotional connection and feelings long before any romantic or sexual attraction happens, and that's just who I am as a person. It isn’t like one of those friendships where the female character secretly pines away for her cute guy friend. The author infused the story with enough humor and heart to make it an enjoyable and entertaining read! I really could go on about their bickering, the adopt-a-pet date, and much more – but I want you to actually read this review and get the book! This isn't my favourite trope and there are only a couple of books that have ever made me rethink my rating on this trope. there is also GROVELLING at the end and can i just say, the drama in the third act was so good, i found myself not putting the book down and i definitely love how the h didn't forgive the H so easily. Mac is a footballer in London who’s best friend and teammate Roan is engaged to Freya’s best friend and business partner Allie. aaand the h can be quite annoying sometimes and her humor can be kinda cringey and not in a good way like The Office.Mac and Freya's story is a spin-off from the Harris Brothers series, but can be read as a standalone. The few moments she had bfs when she was younger and after a while she just gave up and was content with her life as it was.

I didn’t enjoy the last moment of angst because the characters always have to have a fall out in the end and oh how annoying that part is. When I was 16 a girl in our Sex Ed class asked the teacher "can you get pregnant from giving a blow job? I love when the Hs want to consume the h, and Mac makes sure to taste her as many times as possible 🥵💦😅. I adored this story and found the narrators to be absolutely fabulous - they just made the story come alive. She’s plus-sized in body and spirit, and other than her friendship with Mac, talking to the opposite sex is one skill she never mastered.This is also the perfect example of why, sometimes, I hate reading romance by Western authors: where sex and intimacy and virginity is all what their characters think about. I am not surprised about how much I loved this book though because I expect nothing less from this Author.After a horrendous game of Never Have I Ever, Mac knows exactly where he stands with Freya's expertise in the dating field. Freya Cook is used to being the invisible woman with a needle and thread, offering cheeky punchlines as she helps dress London's finest. It’s so weird because I never felt that way in any of this author’s other books, but for some reason all of the slang and expressions were clunky and kind of misused.
