not sure but I have heard a lot of comments that say you should let the bottle sit for a couple of months and then it becomes much better, so if anything will change in these months I will edit my comment. It still gives that Sauvage vibes, but after 10-15 minutes, that lavender starts to shine and for my nose, its a 1:1 clone. It's also a refreshing take on Sauvage which might be getting a little dated since everyone has it or had it in the past and there's so many dupes out there. Ventana on the other side smells the same to me and i would say even better than Sauvage, probably because it's not so loud and headache inducing.For all the people out there who love Dior Sauvage but don't want to spend lots of money on it, go for this. It comes packaged in a unique metal gridded casing that is guaranteed to stand out among your fragrance collection. Is not a huge deal but is too bad the bottle is so ugly, it would take a whole team brainstorming to come up with a bottle design worse than this one, you can't see how much juice is left inside, it looks ugly and is all plastic. It does smells really good, very similar to Sauvage, I loved how it smells so good, but unfortunately the fragrance lasts no more than 3/4 hours on my skin.
It is a very lusty, sultry, breathy, seductive and enchanting fragrance that smells expensive, chords of suede leather - light spice - fruits and a ton of whiskey.
However on the dry down the main notes you will get would be Patchouli and Vetiver with a little citrus thrown in. For me the similarities are there but this isn't like for like clone of sauvage, in fact id question your sense of smell if you thought it was. Although there is no ambroxan listed as a note, there is ambroxan sort of smell from the beginning till the end of fragrance, I mean its there 100%. Ventana has the bright, metallic and synthetic blast that Sauvage does, its LOUD, albeit not as loud as Sauv. Debuted in the year 2016, this hot new fragrance features tangy citrus notes at the top, opening with the scent of bergamot, lemon, grapefruit and mandarin orange.
I've heard great things about Reyanne Tradition's Gentle Elsatys so that might be another clone looking into. Dior is always going to be head and shoulders above this as it for me gives a lot of niche houses a good run for their money in terms of quality output. They may also limit the number of times you see an advert as well as help measure the effectiveness of the advertising campaigns. Having never smelled Aventus for myself (unless by chance in public and my plebeian nostrils couldn’t make the connection), I couldn’t be bothered to assume how close L’Aventure by AH is to it. I bought this a few months back now and worn it a few times in different situations and gave it a good chance BUT.If you're looking for a more fresh and mature scent, tho, this isn't it, it's too synthetic and sweet for that.
