Lincoln also has a secret mission - to bring back the ingredients for the cure for the disease which is killing the population, as well as his sister. The Extinction Trials is based on the concept that dinosaurs didn't get wiped out and this has massively affected humans. And that my friends, at 80%, is where I pulled the plug but I read in other reviews that there is some simple and stupid AF conclusion. Other secondary characters were all different and there should be some interesting things come up in the next book, particularly relating to Storm. but with 100 competing, just how many people do they think will survive this time around that so many are needed?

The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. ALSO, I would just like to point out that Finalists have been coming on food hunting expeditions for YEARS and the only thing they have very found is the bland corn stuff. I realized this author is very hopeful and have the idea that Humanity can be a better Humanity and prosper and he use science to tell us that but the ending had me.The author's excellent writing has you competing alongside them for survival on this beautiful but dangerous continent. As they pursue a seemingly impossible quest, suspicion, betrayal and extreme brutality distort their focus and reveal unexpected truths about their world. Basic Plot: Resources are scarce, a vast understatement, on the continent of Earthasia, where the entire human race, or what is left of it, lives.

The entire world is grey except for the continent of PILORIA where grows trees and all kind of vegetations but it is also inhabited by the most dangerous dino-species: T-REX and raptors.Storm is strong and questions everything, she has a bond with a plesiosaur she’s named Milo who lives in the lake, so has an affinity for the dinosaurs which no one else understands, not that she spreads that around. The overarching plot is pretty much a carbon copy of Catching Fire with more dinosaurs and less revolution. I always love trials being used as a plot point, and they were fast paced and enthralling, I was hooked so quickly. Regarding the story-line, it was often quite predictable, and that's why it got a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star rating.
