About this deal

of course, we see him nervous from his pov, but he knows what he likes and applies that to oak and their rendezvous. Iced Out tells the story of rival ice hockey players, Oakley Reed and Quinton De Haas as they're forced to play on the same team. They both had that enemies tone in their voice which helped build up the story in the audio so freaking well!

I must add too, that I finished the book because I obviously liked too, in no way is this book horrible or 🚮.Oakley doesn’t think there is any sustenance in his way of thinking, so in the beginning he doesn’t go along with this idea. Which is why the words, “I’ll believe it when I see it,” slip out of my mouth before I can stop them. All the moments in this book were just too fucking good and I wish I could read it over and over and over again. They both but so much emotion into their voices — it felt like you could feel the happiness, desire, teasing, and even desperation in their voices at different points. The “Betrayal” Wasn’t Entirely One’s Fault…So the big third act breakup involves an act of “betrayal” and that’s all I’ll say about that, but part of me always felt like one kind of unfairly put more blame on the other when the other couldn’t fully even control that what happened had actually happened.

Oakley is a generational NHL legend, following in his father's footsteps whilst Quinton is rich boy hockey extraordinaire whose Dad is against his hockey dreams and had to work his way up from the bottom. The story in general was not bad, but there simply were a few things that ticked me wrong, like a lot of veery unrealistic situations and ML reactions, that were just too much. If you want something lighthearted, sweet and a potential comfort read with lots (LOTS) of spice, this is ur book. I think one of the books in this series explores his romance and I wish I could just skip to that book because I loved him so much (but it’s not out yet so I can’t).I have the dumbest smile on my face right now, I seriously can’t believe how cute they are, and how well constructed their relationship is, the author did a great job.

he let oak see another part of him entirely, beyond just sex, oak got to see a part of quinn that was raised by his au pair. It starts off a bit strange in the beginning, but begins to make sense the further this book goes on. I’m a sucker for a great enemies to lovers book and this didn’t disappoint the ship sailed and then some. I looooved the whole end tho and it makes up for a lot the book was lacking which is probably why I decided on three and a half stars the first time instead of just three. It’s more of a sketched style of artwork, the linework messy but the shading and depth created in it is impeccable.

I just can actually appreciate when the plot/conflict of a sports romance actually includes sports related issues. And while Liam DiCosimo generally did a good job narrating as well, what he did to Quinn (not his character) made him sound like a 50 year old smoker. Quinton and Oakley become "Quin" and "Oak" the more time they spend together and the more time they get to know one another on a deeper level. it was perfectly peppered with spice, banter and angst which made me devour the last third in one sitting. Iced Out is the first in a five book stand-alone college sports romance series featuring two misunderstood rival teammates, snarky banter, and more secret spicy times than any audiobook should be filled with. All those feelings of hate and aggression both Quinton and Oakley have had for years are finally starting to wain and what is left behind are feelings neither one of them ever expected to feel. in the very beginning of the book, oak and a friend of his—whose name i forgot—were complaining that quinn was captain.
