About this deal

Also, this is said to be an enemies to lovers and I wish that had lasted a little longer as well as getting more moments of their past together but nonetheless still very much enjoyed the moments there is of both. We also use them to help detect unauthorized access or activity that violate our terms of service, as well as to analyze site traffic and performance for our own site improvement efforts. I think she did a wonderful job making the town come to life, it was a real love letter to the place and when I looked it up after reading it was exactly how I had pictured it. Sometimes I feel like she blew into my life like a hurricane and barely left me a second to catch my bearings.

This book is 95% about planning a wedding, 4% their past relationship, and 1% their current relationship, and that is not an exaggeration. So, all in all, I say if you want to pass a few days smiling stupidly to yourself let the good thymes roll and pick up this book. This was so good, and honestly I probably would have given it a full five stars if I wouldn’t have kept getting distracted, so that’s on me. Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). It takes until about 80% in the book to catch us up to speed fully on the past, and the first half of this I was so on board for. There were a couple of little things I could have done without - the 63 mentions of donuts being one, but I get that it was "her thing". Ama (not short for Amateur—thank you very much, Elliot) Torres is a wedding planner that doesn’t do commitment and sees weddings as just a party. Of course, two of my favorite tropes - enemies to lovers and grumpy meets sunshine - are perfectly blended into their love story!

if this was duo pov (rather than his pov just being in the past chapters) i’m sure i would’ve loved it more. It offered more anticipation than it was willing to deliver on the whole 'getting back together' part. But Ama, having seen her mother’s marriages (yes, plural) continuously fail, never saw anything close to a commitment in her future. When she lands the wedding of a high profile internet celebrity, it comes with a catch: she has to work with their florist. I know I haven't posted in a while and I thought now might be a good time to try to get back to posting regularly.

I can't really comment on the emotional attachment because the relationship started purely physical with cute moments, and in the flashbacks, it eventually grew into a lot more.

An enjoyable read revolving around Ama who, despite being a wedding planner doesn't want to commit in a relationship. But as they start spending more time together again, will they realise that they still love each other and give in to those old feelings once more? The depth of his affection for her is truly remarkable, and the lengths to which he goes for her are both heartwarming and genuinely touching. The only catch is the florist, Elliot, is someone she had a romantic relationship (but not a Relationship you know?

Given the second chance romance theme, the anticipation of heightened angst, passionate longing, and more intense desire was certainly there, but it seemed lacking, and this left me somewhat disappointed. It's a complex situation, but there are moments when it felt like he bore the weight of the relationship and perhaps didn't deserve some of the challenges Ama put him through. Their relationship initially began with hook-ups, and while that's completely acceptable, it did feel like there was a lack of chemistry or sexual tension between them in many instances. with juxtaposing the events and memories i loved how subtly the author played the card of authenticity and realism with their relationship. Just like how he’s stuck with the way he proposed to Ama, his main collaborator and girlfriend (or was she?

The present tense is in Ama’s POV and the past is in Elliot’s and wow Julie Soto knocked this out of the park. I went in for some cute romance but stayed for all the ways it broke my heart and put it back together. Trust me, the anticipation itself was so beautifully angst-ridden that everything else faded in the background; it keeps you on your toes, holding your breath, waiting and guessing. i would have liked to just know the reason for the breakup and see them working together and growing closer in the present day.
