There will be more Spider-Man in the future, as an expanded version of the beloved Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theatres on September 2, 2022. Spider-Man: Far From Home was the perfect post- Avengers: Endgame tonic. Peter Parker (Tom Holland) takes a school trip to Venice and tries to win the heart of MJ (Zendaya) – albeit in the deeply sanitized and un-horny way we've come to expect from the MCU. Over the years Marvel has introduced numerous versions of Spider-man through not just the comics, but also its animated TV shows, video games and other merchandise. What started with everyone’s favorite childhood Spider-man played by Tobey Maguire from 2002 to 2007, now the Marvel Cinematic Universe has truly transformed the essence of that classic Tobey Spider-man and transformed into the a character more similar to the one shown in the comics. As well as being one of the nicest-looking animated films ever made – that animated comic book aesthetic is right on the money – Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a funny, inventive and well-written crossover movie of multiple Spider-folk. The MCU's Spider-Man made an strong debut in Captain America: Civil War as Stark's thankless protégé, tasked with fighting a bunch of rogue Avengers in Leipzig airport, Germany. Disney and Sony reached an agreement in April to stream some Spider-Man films from the past as well as Sony films that would be seen in theatres between 2022 and 2026. First off, those 2022–2026 theatrical films won't be on Disney Plus for many, many months; instead, they'll only be available on Netflix at first. Spider-Man 3's issues are well-documented. The laughable (but meme-worthy) dancing, the overload of villains, and the film's messy structure ensured that the final instalment in Maguire and Raimi's webhead trilogy ended it on a sour note.

Instead, Tobey Maguire's Parker is (deliberately) harder to like, and the introduction of Venom to the series was a bit botched. It feels like a film that had too many cooks behind-the-scenes, and seemed to be the nail in the proverbial coffin for this film series overall (a fourth movie had been in the works before Raimi departed it in 2010). It may be the second of two Spider-Man multiverse movies to arrive in theaters (and it's not as good as the other one, which we'll get to), but Spider-Man: No Way Home is certainly the strongest of the Tom Holland era. Only a few days after his 16th birthday, Peter Parker passed away. He was 16 at the time. Before his death, a large number of people in the Ultimate Universe were aware of Spider-secret Man's identity, including Norman Osborn, Mary Jane Watson, Doctor Octopus, Dr. Raimi's dual focus on Peter Parker's personal and superhero lives is perfected in one of the greatest superhero movies of all-time in this 2004 sequel.

It might have seemed impossible to improve on the aesthetic, rich themes, laugh out loud humor, and emotional relatability of Into the Spider-Verse. Somehow, though, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse elevates every aspect of its predecessor.
