Description

Finally, there are four boxes labeled A, B, C and D. I’m not going to tell you what’s inside them, you’ll just have to find out for yourself. “What’s in the box?!” How Does It Play?

Outcasts is everything good about the series but intensified. Each new envelope contains a new puzzle good enough for its own game, while the core feeling of ‘we’re never going to do this’ giving way to punching the air when you snatch victory from defeat remains tantalisingly exciting. Finally, there’s the city of Gravehold. The breach mages of Aeon’s End are not just fighting for their own survival, but the survival of all of humanity, and the Nameless know it. If Gravehold is ever reduced to 0 life, the mages have lost and humanity is but a memory. Protect the city at all costs! What is included: The original Aeon’s End: Legacy saw players become young apprentices who must band together to face off against the might of The Nameless. Legacy had player characters gaining experience with each session they completed, steadily obtaining the spells, abilities and equipment they needed to fulfill their destiny. I played solo for the campaign, which works in almost exactly the same way as it would for anything up to four players. I really recommend Aeon’s End Legacy for solo players. The way the story changes how you play the way the game changes with every chapter is really good. I can safely say without ruining too much that the way my box, cards and character now will almost certainly be different to anyone else who ventures through the campaign. For a long while, scripting was limited, as I am fairly disabled, and typing is difficult. My health has improved enough to finally add scripting to this thing, so, enjoy.UPDATE Feb 2022: Legacy of Gravehold has been added. Additionally the ability to setup the randomizers to use what set you want has been added. Pretty much a huge amount of work went into the last few updates. Enjoy. Starter Cards: Crystal (), Spark (), Aetherial Glow, Ancient Emerald, Bastion Flint, Bide, Blinding Gambit, Bronze Ingot, Cleansing Quartz, Corrupted Vein, Dahlia (2), Devouring Voidspark, Eldritch Eye, Entangled Tourmaline (2), Essence Leech, Eternus Anomaly, Gossamer Web, Invigorating Voidspark, Iris (2), Jubilant Halo, Magnificent Opal, Mazra's Studies, Mechanek Anomaly, Mirror Shard, Molten Forge, Nihilum Anomaly, Oblivion Lode, Photonix Anomaly, Powdered Infinitum (2), Rip, Help! (2), Rose (2), Shared Heart, Split Soul, Sunflower, Tulip (2), Violet, Warding Stone, Zanite, Perfected, Zeronia Anomaly

The legacy elements of Outcasts make the core mechanics of the game gel in a way that the core box doesn’t quite manage. An excellent entry in the series – and not a bad entry point if you don’t mind skipping ahead in the story. UPDATE: Nemesis setup is now scripted. Select what Basics you wish to use, how many players and what level of expedition you're on, and then drag a Nemesis bag onto the Setup Mat. Certain Nemesis require Player Agency or Shop Setup that a tad infeasible. Everything else should just setup though.Description and summary of what the set is about. If there are any main themes, game modes, etc. this part will mention them.

The New Age's expedition mode and relevant randomiser/treasures and rules are there, so that should be fully playable.Outcasts adds some interesting new flavour to the mix, from a new mage, Taqren, who triggers benefits for allies every time he takes a punch, to the ‘wandering’ keyword which reduces all damage done to a minion to one. Other minions are similarly immune, only being able to be damaged by spells over or under a certain value. Games are rated for how salty (competitive), tasty (replayable) and spicy (original) they are. The Salt Mages (21): Arachnos (Legacy of Gravehold), Claudia (Legacy of Gravehold), Dezmodia (Legacy of Gravehold), Gygar (Legacy of Gravehold), Ilya (Legacy of Gravehold), Inco (Legacy of Gravehold), Indira (Legacy of Gravehold), Kadir (Legacy of Gravehold), Kel (Legacy of Gravehold), Lost (Legacy of Gravehold), Malastar (Legacy of Gravehold), Mazra (Legacy of Gravehold), Nook (Legacy of Gravehold), Qu (Legacy of Gravehold), Razra (Legacy of Gravehold), Soskel (Legacy of Gravehold), Talix (Legacy of Gravehold), Taqren (Legacy of Gravehold), Thraxir (Legacy of Gravehold), Xaxos (Legacy of Gravehold), Yan Magda (Legacy of Gravehold) The great thing about this Legacy box is that it can be played again at a higher difficulty level. Also, when the campaign is over, you can use your mage in other Aeon's End games. Because I found it very easy, I feel like I lost out on a lot of potential game. I never used the cool power that helps you in a re-fight, and I never saw probably half of the enemy cards. That’s not an exaggeration either. In a game that’s one shot and done, it’s a shame, even from the point of view of missing out on a lot of the artwork.

Whilst the playing then buying cards feels very Dominion-like, the gameplay is totally fresh. There is a lot of cool stuff here.UPDATE: Scripting added for the Market randomizer. Big thanks to TheJazzAgenT♫ for letting me use their script! This game is climbing the charts for me. I am completely addicted. We play once and then immediately set it up for another game. Harvest up to two cards in your hand or discard pile. Resolve the Harvest effects of these cards twice. Either choose a side of a path token that is not on your mat and place it on your mat, or flip over one of your path tokens on your mat. Then, if you have four path tokens on your mat, set one aside. This is a small set containing mostly supply cards. These cards make further use of the new mechanics introduced in Aeon's End Legacy, but are compatible with all Aeon's End content. The set includes all tokens required for the new mechanics.
