The North America release date for Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K has been confirmed for May 16th, 2023, which is before the UK by a week or so. This is shorter than expected, as it initially added weight to us getting them in Britain towards the end of May or early June. The less expensive standard digital should also be towards the end of May with the earlier approach in the US. As with the UK versions, if you’re looking to get all of the bonus features then you need to choose either the Blu-ray or 4K versions of the film, because they’re not usually on the DVD and the digital versions missed the odd one or two. Nach so vielen Superhelden muss man sich auch hier erst mit der Anfangsgeschichte eines Superhelden durchquälen. Daher könnte der Film für manche Anfangs langweiliger erscheinen als bei so manchen anderen Marvel-Legenden. Vor allem sind die Wendungen in dieser Geschichte wie bei allen Erstfilmen der Superhelden ähnlich und daher vorhersehbar. Aber die Geschichte um die einzelnen Charaktere und wie Scott zum Ant-Man wird, gestaltet sich dennoch spannend und mit der darauffolgenden Action verfliegt der Film wie im Nu. Nur schade das so manche geschnittene Szenen die im Bonusmaterial enthalten sind, nicht im Film geblieben sind. Es hätte so manche Szenen besser abgerundet und hätte das Tempo nicht gedrosselt.
