If 48GQ900 was a bit brighter or allowed me to change color temperature in HDR, I would have probably kept it.

Back to the display itself, LG has made some tweaks to make the 48GQ900 a good fit for gaming as well as productivity. Hz (overclock: 138 Hz)Responsive screen, smooth gameplayThe speed of 120 Hz (overclock: 138 Hz) allows gamers to see the next image quickly, plus gameplay is rendered smoothly. The brightness tracks the EOTF extremely well, as almost all scenes display at the correct brightness level. Small highlights are bright enough to stand out well, but it gets dimmer with larger bright areas due to the aggressive Automatic Brightness Limiter (ABL). The display is certified for FreeSync Premium and it’s compatible with G-Sync, though it doesn’t have Nvidia’s dedicated G-Sync module inside.

The UltraGear 48-inch OLED may look unpractical for day-to-day use, but it’s a lot more practical than something like the Samsung Odyssey Ark (and a lot cheaper, to boot). As it stands right now, 48GQ900 is extremely niche product that you should only consider if Matte and DP ports are a MUST; I thought I was in that niche, but the tradeoff was so great that I eventually decided to stick with C2.

audio and optical audio out, providing two options for passing through audio to a soundbar or speaker system. Playing games with such a fast, bright panel is an outstanding experience that’s only made better by the stellar picture quality. There’s also a unique option to block out the top and bottom of the screen, turning the viewable area into an ultrawide. Outside of the DisplayPort connection and the unique remote, LG pushed this monitor a little further than it would its TVs. A lower weight is also an advantage for home appliances, as it makes transportation easier, and for many other types of products. LG Electronics 48GQ900-B Ultragear Monitor (OLED-Panel: 3840x2160, 16:9, 135cd/m2, 1M:1, 1ms, DCI-P3>98%, HDR10) intern: HDMI2. The LG 48GQ900-B has a near-instant response time at its max refresh rate of 138Hz, resulting in incredibly clear motion.
